I'll start:

Ubereats for charging me nearly a tenner for some cold, rubbery food that they told me I couldn't have a refund for as 'tough luck' AngryAngry

o2 for refusing to replace a broken new phone (arrived broken), and then not accepting my complaint.

Virgin phoning with offer that would run out - when I asked if you then had to opt-in or would need to opt-out, saleswoman became angry, acted like I had phoned her to pick an argument, and hung up!

Magmatic80 · 24/08/2018 22:17

Carphobe warehouse for signing me up to the same contract twice, two days apart. They and 02 both insist it’s the other’s fault, and happily charge me £30/month for 3 months while I’m crying with rage on the phone to them both daily.

8DaysAWeek · 24/08/2018 22:22

Long story short, Hastings Direct for transferring me to their insurance broker, "finding me the best quote" and selling me car insurance 4x what I could find online and more than what I was currently paying. I was 8 months pregnant and so hormonal and emotional I ended up crying down the phone to some poor woman half an hour after I realised how they conned me.

frillmassive · 24/08/2018 22:25

Dorset Cereals for not believing me when I found a length of blue string in their Granola, and when they finally half heartedly offered me some compensation to spend on their website the bloody stuff I ordered never turned up.

And First Trans Pennine Express for being slow and unwilling when paying out the Delay Repay money for a cancelled train. Dealing with them was like pulling teeth.

IfIWasABirdIdFlyIn2ACeilingFan · 24/08/2018 22:27

Thinx for their kowtowing, money chasing, virtue signalling, woke, woman erasing language.

ThunderOnlyHappens · 24/08/2018 22:33

Bounty- for waking me up when day old DS had just dropped off. After being awake for 24 hours I was hoping to have a bit of shut eye, not have my photo taken Hmm

British Gas - for continually refusing to accept that it was me, not DH, who was responsible for managing our gas & electricity. Grrr.

MrsDeanWinchester75 · 25/08/2018 09:00

Scottish Power for not recording my final meter readings and sending me a final bill for over £400 based on estimated readings.
Apparently it's my fault for not taking a photograph of the readings.
I've had to ring my new supplier Avro to get them to contact SP to confirm the readings because again SP say it's not up to them to do it.
I've got the call logged on my phone from the day I left to prove a called them with the readings.

It's comfort to know I'll be paying over 1k less per year though to Avro.

vampirethriller · 25/08/2018 09:03

TalkTalk for renewing my contract when I had swapped to another provider, without asking if I wanted them to and when they were aware I'd just left them, and then trying to charge me £217 to terminate this new un-asked for contract.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 25/08/2018 09:04

Npower- scum of all scumbags- passed my details to a debt collector when I was on a payment plan with them and had paid nearly all of it! They can’t keep notes and they are rude! I actually had to say to one of their staff “can you stop speaking to me like I’m crap”...that shocked them!

doleritedinosaur · 25/08/2018 09:09

My son’s old nursery. Nothing was ever properly dealt with when there was issues.

Next, Tory donor scum.

Cadbury’s because they have RUINED chocolate.

theboud · 25/08/2018 09:13

Treasure on the Wall. Endless delays, unanswered calls, even took themselves off Google reviews when customers started posting negative feedback. If they’d spent half the time making pictures that they spent managing their online presence they might have been less rubbish.

GloGirl · 25/08/2018 09:18

Tiscali.

I honestly couldn't begin to tell you!! Not that bad but it was just on going shit, lying outsourcing staff, and a refusal of anyone to actually resolve anything.

mrs2468 · 25/08/2018 09:25

Better bathrooms for

All tiles either arriving chipped or smashed
No legs arriving with bath and being told two weeks to replace
Giving me wrong valves for radiator
Giving me wrong toilet seat
Making me take three days off work to sit in for a replacement delivery that never arrived twice with no communication as to why or to let me know they weren't coming.
Finally sending me a cheque for my money back which meant I had to go to a bank to cash it rather than put it back on my card like I had paid for it.
It's giving me the rage thinking about it again

OnTopOfSpaghetti · 25/08/2018 09:41

Virgin. Zero customer service, they couldn't have cared less that I was left with black cable trailing all over my front lawn, it took 8 months to resolve and that was when I emailed some important high up person, I had a thread here about it and someone kindly supplied me with an email address which finally got some results.

fifipop185 · 25/08/2018 09:43

British Gas - Grrrr!! They're incapable of setting up a direct debit to pay my electricity account even though my gas account is happily paid each month by direct debit. Have asked them to do it 4 times now....

ginghamstarfish · 25/08/2018 09:44

There are quite a few ... hard to believe some companies still don't think customer service is important, but Scottish Power tops the list. Not sure how they're allowed to stay in business.

CherryPlum · 25/08/2018 09:45

Sports Direct, for lots of reasons, including their no refunds policy. They only give a refund if the item is faulty.

CherryPlum · 25/08/2018 09:46

Oh and Laura Ashley for their haughty staff.

animaginativeusername · 25/08/2018 09:50

Argos, bought a vacuum cleaner, had missing part but could not get refund or different make. Was eventually given a replacement as a 'goodwill' offer. Have since bought all electrical items from AO.

IncaAztec · 25/08/2018 09:51

British Gas-for trying to suggest I hire in scaffolding on a three storey building to have my boiler replaced. Also for saying different things about my boiler at different yearly services (nothing had changed)....

GloGirl · 25/08/2018 09:54

Oh yes! Argos!

I actually wrote and posted a letter of complaint this year as there was no email function. No reply - zero surprise! They're totally driving the brand into the bin which is a shame.

tylerina · 25/08/2018 09:55

Evans Halshaw...just typing the name gives me chest pains remembering all the shit they put me through...

BigBlueBubble · 25/08/2018 10:01

A certain company offered me a job in writing and gave me a start date. Invited me to their office to be shown round, gave me my desk and introduced me to everyone. Waited 6 weeks till I had given notice on my current job and was training my replacement. Then changed their mind out of the blue because “on reflection” they decided I wasn’t bubbly enough to fit in there. A couple of weeks later they tweeted that they’d employed someone in that post who conveniently had the same unusual surname as the owner.

I’d already resigned from my current job and been replaced. Couldn’t claim benefits because I’d purposely resigned from my job. Ended up putting rent and bills on my credit card and using a food bank until I got a crappy min wage job. It took me a year to get a proper job in my field again.

I saw a solicitor but he said that my job offer in writing didn’t constitute an enforceable contract as it was an email exchange and therefore didn’t have signatures from both parties. So basically they got away with dropping me in the shit.

happinessischocolate · 25/08/2018 10:05

Carphone warehouse for fucking up the new phone contracts for me and the kids, the kids were supposed to have unlimited calls and texts and I was supposed to have 1000 minutes per month. They gave me unlimited and my dd 1000 minutes which she exceeded by £400 because they'd also made her account the main account holder so she was able to override it when they said the 1000 minutes were exceeded.😡
