I'll start:

Ubereats for charging me nearly a tenner for some cold, rubbery food that they told me I couldn't have a refund for as 'tough luck' AngryAngry

o2 for refusing to replace a broken new phone (arrived broken), and then not accepting my complaint.

Fucking vodafone - sooo much screwing me over when they changed computer systems their error my time effort not my greatest hour .

And a specific one. Starbucks centretainment sheffield. Rude ignorant staff who ignore you get your orders wrong and are useless twits.

Telus (Canadian) My DH and I have our cell phone contracts on one account. When I renewed my contract, the "helpful" agent decided to reduce my portion of the bill by deleting my unlimited long distance calling without telling me. When we moved across the country, I was being charged for my outgoing calls as well as the incoming calls!! They also completely messed up my DH's email (which is the email they sent our bill to). When we were finally able to look at the bill, we found my phone was being charged for all the long distance calls as well as my husbands calls (to the tune of $400). It's been two months and we're still unable to get them to fix my DH's email or reimburse us for the double charges.

Babybearsporij · 27/08/2018 17:15

Boohoo for pretending they hadn't received my return and refusing to refund me or engage with me. And for not having an actual telephone number to phone them on!!!

And Farmhouse Inns for shit service and ignoring my complaint.

EastMidsGPs · 27/08/2018 17:31

Flaming Grill. Complaints people are arses for being totally underwhelmed when contacted re local place where I had had to return to an not undercooked chicken dish to the kitchen twice and was then informed by the manager 'sweetheart, they've probed it and the temperature is OK'.
Offered me a third version of said dish but refused a refund. My review on TripAdvisor is still in limbo as I mentioned the possibility of food poisoning in it and apparently you cannot say this.

Flaming Grill complaints said they'd discussed this with the manager and the food had been correctly cooked and sent me a voucher for another meal !! Yes because I'd rush back to eat undercooked chicken.
At the same time there were a number of comments on FB at the state of the food in this place.

I thought this thread had gone the way of my usual ones which disappear into the ether almost immediately, but it seems not!

I have remembered that npower caused about 3 years of hassle, where they seemingly could not produce bills or tell us how much we owed them despite regular meter readings. It was misery making and I will never use them again. Thank god for OVO who get it right every time.

Adding another vote for BT the useless theiving gits.

Nationwide - on two separate moves I went in to their office, filled out the change of address form, and duly had my account blocked as they'd had mail returned from my old address.

EDF - they quadrupled my electricity DD for no particular reason and without telling me, and when I called to query it I got the rudest assistant on the phone who said he wasn't interested in my problems and refused absolutely to let me speak to a manager. I did eventually get through to a manager after calling back - she apologised, sent flowers, assured me he was back in training, agreed that they shouldn't have taken extra money and that they now owed me a lot of money. Which is something I suppose, but I'll never trust them with my bank details again.

And I'm not impressed with TSB either - my bank account is still a bit wonky after their updates, although I'm lucky that I haven't had any major issues like some poor people.

luckycat007 · 28/08/2018 00:26

All posters - they use a courier service - DPD - that are incapable of delivering.

Most delivery companies

Vodafone- horrendous

chemenger · 28/08/2018 08:19

OVO! Our smart meter has been broken for months. They can’t fix it because, according to customer services, they no longer have a contractor in place to repair meters. I can’t believe this can be true but that’s what they said.

PoisonousSmurf · 28/08/2018 08:23

Three mobile online service. All glitzy and easy to use, but all LIES!
Upgraded my phone and was supposed to be contacted next day for delivery by courier.
No way to contact them except by ringing their Indian call center where the guy on the phone had the cheek to say he couldn't understand my accent!
Then he hung up on me!
Have no idea where my phone is, but my direct debit will be taken soon for it. I may march into a local 'Three shop' and get them to ring them up!

DieAntword · 28/08/2018 08:26

NPower. They tried to charge us for the previous tenant’s gas from before we moved in. Scottish Power they tried to charge us for a years worth of gas and electric at a house we’d moved out of (yes we had informed them).

Some debt collecting company that tried to collect a debt for a person who had the same name and maybe date of birth as me BUT my name is a married name and was not the name in question when the debts were taken out. They tried to get all aggressive with me and when I insisted instead of accepting it was their stupid mistake to try and collect on the basis of a name and date of birth only (which the ombudsman states is not sufficient) they elevated it to the fraud team which meant I had to go through a pointless fraud investigation before they finally were willing to accept it was nothing to do with fraud and all to do with their mistake.

marvelousways · 28/08/2018 08:29

Ikea.
For the fiasco that was our new kitchen last December. I can't begin to list all the things that went wrong. It actually made me unwell with stress. The kitchen is horrible.I hate it and it's falling apart just 6 months later. And no response at all to my many emails of complaint. I will never, ever buy anything from Ikea again!

Wha?! Urg we just renewed with ovo. Does it still work like a normal meter you can take readings from?

OuEstPierreLapin · 28/08/2018 08:36

Royal Mail. DS was a few months old, when pals sent through a present for him. We weren't in and was taken to local holding centre.

DS and I went to post office where parcel was being held. Staff refused to hand over the parcel as the baby didn't have id. We share the same surname, address. I had licence, passport, warrant card etc on me all stating same address and surname as parcel.

No dice.

AnneElliott · 28/08/2018 09:10

Virgin Atlantic for cancelling my flight and leaving my diabetic blind friend alone in Florida airport for 9 hours with nothing to eat, drink and nowhere to use the toilet. This was after they'd promised me someone would meet her at the gate and show her where these things were.

BT for general fuckwittery. They keep offering me deals to go back to them and seem astonished that I won't give them another try Hmm

Utilita that keep calling me about life insurance ( I'm not even their customer) and refusing to take my details off the system. One of their call centre staff mansplained life insurance to me, only stopped when I suggested that since I didn't work in a boiler room call centre I was likely to be both better educated and more intelligent than him which meant mansplaining wasn't required Blush

Perry's Car Dealership in Rotherham, we had informed them our mother had dementia, they sold her a brand new car which started off at £9k and became £14k with add ons, on finance at 83, giving her £1.5k for a 3 year old car with 7k miles on the clock.

I couldn't find her driving license to return to dvla to stop her driving, but did later.

Perrys for taking the said new car back in part exchange for a four year old battered used car, after 3 weeks and taking another £1k off her and she'd still got the finance outstanding on the brand new one, which they done some sort of adjustment to, so they could sell 1st car and it showed no finance outstanding.

Took months and lots of shouting and threats to go to the press before they would do anything.

She had been a customer of theirs and their predecessors for 25 years.

MargaretDribble · 28/08/2018 09:50

To be fair some of these could relate to staff in particular branches. We moved to Nationwide from Crapwest and have got on really well so far, and our local Post Office is fine. However some companies have come up again and again.

chemenger · 28/08/2018 09:57

DiaAntword the meter is totally dead, it is an ex-meter. The meter reader came because they were claiming the problem was that our super thick walls were stopping the signal and confirmed the meter as deceased.

VeryBerryAugust · 28/08/2018 10:04

Ryanair. Just for everything.

Petridish · 28/08/2018 10:15

O2 - all over you when you are spending money in their shop, downright rude and dismissive when you try to return a set of month old, broken headphones.

This has happened twice and I will steer clear in future.

MrsMarigold · 28/08/2018 10:47

Virgin Media (conmon theme here) were meant to come to see if we could get a phone line/cable. Couldn't find our house despite being on a busy road. Arrived two hours late, stole DH wallet from on the chest of drawers in the hall. He had no money or oyster pass and had to walk five miles to get back to work.

Curry's couldn't deliver a fridge because there are more than four steps up to our front door and "we hadn't notified them about access issues".

Abbey National/Santander. Frustrating in both incarnations.
Bathstore. Lying shysters

CottonSock · 28/08/2018 11:24

British gas
BT..

AornisHades · 28/08/2018 11:25

Oh yes and BA for repeated customer service fails. They should know how to get meals to the right seat and cope with a cancelled flight by now.
