Just that really, I'm in a polyamorous relationship with two men, when I meet people in real life they always want to ask me questions so I thought I'd cast the net a bit wider and open the floor on the web :)

How long have you been together as three? How old are you all?

Highdaysandholidays1 · 17/02/2023 22:29

My grandparents had a friend who had both a husband and a boyfriend, this was in the 70's so there's nothing new under the sun, I guess!

Do you live with either of them? Is it very tiring (I mean that most genuinely, I wouldn't have the energy to deal with two men)?

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 17/02/2023 22:30

Are you an exclusive thruple or would you add extra people if you really clicked with someone?

applicationsissues · 17/02/2023 22:31

Do you have a secret favourite ?

Sausagis · 17/02/2023 22:32

Do you all live together? Do you have twice the wife work or does everyone do a fair share?

Guavafish1 · 17/02/2023 22:32

Do you all sleep together?

QuertyGirl · 17/02/2023 22:32

Are they in a relationship with each other too?

BubblestarUK · 17/02/2023 22:33

Been together at a three for two years nearly, and we are all late 30s

We all live together yes, though there is a separate flat that we use when any of us are working nights, so as to be respectful to each others sleep needs

We are exclusive the three of us, no interest in anyone else.

These relationships make a lot of sense if you are asexual, and want the stability which comes from long term relationships, without the expectation of regular intimacy.

Do you come across asexuality a lot in polyamorous relationships? Are any of you three asexual?

BubblestarUK · 17/02/2023 22:35

They are not sexually together no, and yes, the two of them both do tremendous amounts of housework each, and do shopping run errands etc

We all sleep together in a big bed made up of a double and single,

No favourite, they are both wonderful chaps in their own way, both have similarities but are also very unique

How did you all meet each other?

Meandfour · 17/02/2023 22:35

Do any of you have children?

No we aren't asexual, intimacy is very important,

We all met through work when we were late teens.

Another question - are any of you married/civil partnered to each other? Do you think 3 way marriages/CPs should be a thing?

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 17/02/2023 22:37

Do you all do your laundry together? Is it a nightmare separating their socks or do they just wear each others?

BubblestarUK · 17/02/2023 22:37

Yes we have children

I'm married to one of my partners, have been for many years. The children are both his.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 17/02/2023 22:37

Since they aren't together, how do they feel about sleeping in the same bed?

ChesterDrawsStickmen · 17/02/2023 22:37

Did you all become a throuple at once or did two of you ask the 3rd to join?

So basically you just have a husband and a boyfriend. Is that right?

BubblestarUK · 17/02/2023 22:38

Lol to the socks question 😂 we all wear the same socks, all black and cotton, easy to pair up and toss into the drawers,

I would love to marry both of them, but I can see why it would get difficult legally on many levels, so we settle for long term commitment instead

How old are your kids op?

ChesterDrawsStickmen · 17/02/2023 22:39

If they aren't attracted to each other, what do they get from the arrangement? (sorry for the blunt question but it seems like they "share" you whilst you get 2 partners)

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/02/2023 22:40

Do your kids consider your boyfriend another dad and an equal parent? What do they call him?

BubblestarUK · 17/02/2023 22:40

Yes, effectively a husband and boyfriend if you will.

They don't mind sleeping in the same bed, as I'm in the middle. No different to sleeping round your mates really,

children are 10 and 14
