Oh look, it's physically impossible to rape someone wearing skinny jeans

Completely impossible, apparently

Someone needs to make some sort of political anti-leaflet for rape advisory.

WOMEN!

Please make sure you are wearing none of the following:

skinny jeans
stockings
no stockings
matching underwear
lacy underwear
push up bras
no underwear
short skirts
any skirts
low cut tops
vest tops
short shorts
any shorts
no shorts
high heels

And do not engage in any of the following behaviour:

drinking to excess
drinking moderately
drinking at all
laughing
talking to men
flirting with men
looking at men
smiling at men
leaving your drink unattended
going out at all, anywhere

If you manage to adhere to all of the above points, you have a 0.05% chance of gaining a rape conviction, should the worst happen

Otherwise, you were CLEARLY asking for it, you whore!

GardenPath · 01/05/2010 23:15

So now we have to wear short skirts because at least we'll be believed if we're raped.

But if we wear short skirts we're asking for it anyway, so it won't be rape.

We mustn't wear tight jeans because they can't be ripped off.

So that won't be rape either.

WTF can we wear?

How about, 'Yes, your Honour, you're quite right, it wasn't rape because I sliced off his cock with my breadknife'.

strawberrycake · 01/05/2010 21:32

I just don't know what to say. It's stepping outisde what I would consider even belevable!

I want to know why the hell more isn't being done to improve reporting and conviction rates for rape. Why isn't this a top priority? Makes my blood boil

starshaker · 01/05/2010 21:06

Its things like this that made me not even bother reporting it

Hurrah. As long as we all wear skinny jeans at all times, rape will become a thing of the past

bloody hell

I am livid

TheCrackFox · 01/05/2010 20:16

Don't forget matching underwear - means you were gagging for it.

Disenchanted3 · 01/05/2010 20:10

and short skirts,

so that leaves ...? Suits of armour?

PfftTheMagicDragon · 01/05/2010 20:05

SO rape cases now hinge on attire?

Any more no go clothing?

So far we have

skinny jeans
stockings

we should all take note

Disenchanted3 · 01/05/2010 19:55

I don't understand this at all.

Women have been wearing jeans for decades, surely the only difference with skinnies is that the calf is tight as well as the thigh??

MrsRhettButler · 01/05/2010 19:44

can we please send them this thread as evidence..
for the record my dp regularly undoes my button and zip and then grabs the waist band and peels them down my legs making them go inside out (very easily and with no help from me)
and i am size 12/14 and heavy and my skinny jeans are TIGHT! a 6.6 stone size six woman would have no chance defending herself

i feel so sorry for this poor woman
this case is ridiculous

TheCrackFox · 01/05/2010 19:33

Perhaps we should all rush out and buy skinny jeans and wear them every single day. They are rape proof .

TheCrackFox · 01/05/2010 19:31

How does the judge think a mere woman can remove her jeans all by herself? I had no idea that jeans now required two people to take them off.

The judge (and the jury it seems) are a bunch of arses.

They do realise skinny jeans don't actually form part of one's skin don't they?

That's appalling.

and very, very sad

copperjar · 01/05/2010 19:04

Unbelievable.
