Feminist blogs - recommendations wanted

We've had a lovely reading list thread for proper books, but what about online hangouts? I used to have a massive list but change of computers and just the tattered remnants are left.

To start off, my current favourites are:

Shakesville for constantly updated comments and campaigns about feminism, but also homophobia, racism etc.

The F-Word Blog for a UK and mainly young perspective, plus info on UK rallies and campaigns.

I Blame The Patriarchy for a bloody funny, radical perspective.

Tiger Beatdown for very funny comment on gender depictions in music and films, for the most part.

Also recommended Cruella-Blog the other day, written by a UK-based comedian.

More please!

It's not so feminist focused but https://philosophersmag.com/

Often has decent TERF articles. I.e.

'The Transgender Rights Issue' and 'Philosophical Malpractice'.

After Laurie Penny's crappy piece for the guardian about the Let Girls Be Girls campaign I'd like to withdraw my recommendation for her blog (Penny Red)!

GothAnneGeddes - glad to know it's been reviewed elsewhere on the site, too. My point was more that DMHLBIT was something of a counter-example to the writers' main point, but then of course it's set in Australia rather than the Middle East so perhaps is "allowed" to depict a more empowered girl than the fic set in the Middle Eastt.

Good links there! Particularly liked the Feminist Philosophers one for the post On not seeing what is right before your eyes because you're concentrating on something else...

I read the Muslimah Media Watch blog recommended further above, and though the posts on "Save the Muslim Girl" were very good - analysing the way that (particularly) Western teen fiction depicts Muslim girls in Eastern countries. No mention in the piece is made of other fiction like "Does My Head Look Big In This" (set in Australia, written by a Muslim woman, about a Muslim girl deciding to wear a headscarf*); slight shame, but then that's not the focus of the piece. (Don't forget to read parts II and III also - the links aren't massively clear I think.)

Thanks Molesworth . Some of them are really interesting, the gender and development one is co-funded by Oxfam, have been reading a bit of that today. It's fascinating how gender issues can have a profound impact on aid work and development.
