And how these rapists identify does matter. Mine identified as an upstanding member of society. Which turned out to be as big a lie as any man claiming to be a woman is.

James "April" Groves identifies as a woman. It is an important detail about this particular paedophile rapist as once again it shows that at the end of the day that men claiming to be women are still just men.

Men remain just as dangerous after their decision to claim to be a woman as they were before their decision to claim to be a woman.

Groves is just yet another example that men are men no matter their pronoun choice, name change and choice of attire.

At least asterisk out their names or anonymise them. Stop reposting details of what was done, and their photos. It is deeply harmful to survivors.

The victim's bravery astounds me and I hope they get proper support, which so many rape survivors do not.

Justice for all victims, and restored trauma recovery services, is what we should all be campaigning for.

Using a rape victim's trauma to further transphobia is sick. It also downplays the individual's responsibility and horrific choices by implying that trans women are inherently sexually violent.

I was abused by someone with learning disability. I spend precisely no time online claiming that people with LD are violent, and have often pushed back against that harmful stereotype.
