She won’t be dealing with the men who feel entitled to use women’s spaces or the growing numbers of unisex spaces introduced at the expense of women’s safety in a vain attempt to appease said men.

She won’t be tackling the belief systems of a growing cohort of men who believe that it is ok to marry children, that women are worth half a man and should cover themselves or be considered a candidate for rape.

I just wonder what has gone wrong in the brains of women like her that stops her from seeing what she is supporting.

Misogyny is schools is a real thing. I've been teaching for 25+ years and it's never been so bad. It needs to be stopped at an early age. This is not a race issue as it's boys of all races that treat the girls like second class citizens. Some of the things I have seen and heard said are vile. The way the boys talk about sex, making 'shag or not' lists, discussing anal, smashing and oral. It's degrading - and this is what I hear as a teacher!
The way about of boys speak and behave to female teachers is appalling. I'm in my 50s and fat yet have had many sexual comments made ... the problem is that punishment tends to be laughed at as 'he's only being a boy' mainly by their fathers ...

there are a lot of assumptions here.

The law is clarified and BP is using the correct term for adult human female.

I’ve said it before but there a lot of people on this board who try to ignore it. The statutory RSE guidelines and impact statement specifically reference FWS. And that pupils should be taught the facts about sex and gender. And single sex spaces are ensconced fully in all safeguarding guidelines for education. It’s even got detransition and living in stealth in there. Yes there are issues with it but there are issues with Cass, upon which it was based, and also, FWS was very clear that trans identified males are to be respected. Just not as actual women.

All that had to happen before any educational work on misogyny for precisely the reasons you’re describing.

The issue is going to be that a lot of people simply do not want to limit misogyny to women but they’re going to have to now as it’s the law.

Quite where has she said that trans identified males are women?

She means women.

And nothing it going to change in the police until misogyny is properly challenged

And nothing is going to change while intersectional feminism continues to have a stranglehold on policy as far as I can see.

That's a fair point. I think we're so distrustful as we know this government have had to be dragged kicking and screaming to face reality. And none of these senior politicians (including Burnham) have the confidence to tell all the trans extremists running riot in politics / the civil service to STFU and obey the law. So trust is at an all time low.

My points about the STATUTORY RSE guidelines are that she over saw the development of that as education sec and, as I said, it specifically refers to FWS ruling.

Totally apart from the gender ideology question. This looks like it will be very expensive and very ineffective.

Dear Bridget Phillipson. If you are serious about attempting to tackle this huge and pervasive social evil I would suggest getting some real experts in. You could start by taking all the money you're going to be throwing at this smoke and mirrors "taskforce" (so far it doesn't look like you or your handpicked minions know what the tasks need to be, and it hasn't got any force either, so what's the point of it, anyway?) and donate it all to the Centre for Women's Justice, who've been actually doing this shit for decades now on an absolute shoestring, and know more about the subject than you or your desperate attempts to hang on to the yoof vote could even begin to imagine. They've got a ten point plan and everything. But no. You didn't even invite them into your pretty figleaf of a pointless talking shop, did you...?

It's awful that before this has even got going, I already know the most obvious misogyny staring us in the face will be ignored. Would be good if top of the agenda is the government clamping down on all those organisations who say the supreme court ruling is wrong and will be challenged and ignored. Start with the Lib Dems, The Green Party, the Unions. Perhaps also many MPs within the Labour Party. This would fill me with some hope that they are serious about protecting Women.

Feeling totally fucked off by that stupid Labour MP Samantha Niblett on tv. Her suggestion on being confronted by a male in a protected single sex space is to leave and wait til the male is finished. What a disgrace.
