I know I can never even begin to imagine the existential stress that the likes of Louise and the whole trans movement instills in women.
But I have a real idea of the motivation of these men. And that's why they remain men no matter how much they feel they aren't.
Because the conundrum of trans is that the more a man wants to become a woman, thinks he can do, feels he has transformed, and deflects all criticism saying he hasn't/can't, the more he proves he absolutely <is> a man.
I also believe these men know it deep down. Maybe not formally or consciously, but certainly as an ongoing sensation of disconnect and the dread realization as time goes on that their maleness is right behind them.
If this movement hadn't become the all-encompassing monster it has, I'd have genuine sadness for a limited clique of men that are so troubled they feel the escape of surgery is all they have.
But because the movement became a voracious parasite attaching to body of society, deliberately corroding things, attacking women and children, and so many men involved could not step back, look inside, and challenge their biases and temperamental urges, I now have nothing but contempt for the whole movement.
To read Louise bitch about needing to access medical treatment with all the other trans, boy is his male entitlement showing.

Another memory i have is an article in i think the guardian, written by a lesbian woman taking testosterone who described it changed and ramped up her sexual desires.

That's why everything is such an uphill battle. So many men just refuse to see what is blindingly obvious. They are allowing themselves to be led by their sexual desires to the exclusion of everything that is worthwhile in life.

Maybe it's a reason why I'm almost evangelically against all this is because as a male who traversed the dark side and actively pulled away, I'm very aware of these impulses. Not specifically trans, just the general non productiveness of the adult scene. Some of the best decisions I ever made in life included ditching certain male friends and turning my back on very simple pleasures.

Years ago DH and I watched something about Thai brides where one manly man, lets call him Pete, was in a marriage with a post op transexual.

We were a bit agog at the time. It now makes sense.

There is no limits to male sexual proclivities.

I'm totally onboard with the idea that porn and the sex trade are driving a lot of this. I even have some fleeting sympathy for men. As Jo Bartosch says, those porn sites are experts at hitting the brain's reward pathways and then leading men on to more and more extreme behaviours.

Sometimes I have to do a little picture in my head to try to understand it all...and then I wish I hadn't.

What came to my mind was that a poster on a thread who claimed he lived as a woman for many years and had a male partner. He was very resistant to the idea that he was in a homosexual relationship.

He was as i now understand it, with a GAMP.

So a male who is very happy to love and be sexually attached to a TIM, affirms them to meet his own desires, not for a woman, but a TIM.

So, on the one hand you have heterosexual (?) men seeking out post-op transsexuals, and on the other, heterosexual (?) men seeking out the most effeminate and at risk men in the sex trade.
And still it's the sane majority who have no truck with any of this that are derided as reactionary and bigoted?
