Yes. I have been in that space, and for a while was a trans ally. I questioned the transborg, was bullied, shouted and and threatened. Got told to educate myself nd, well, here I am.

This. I’m fed up of my union (UCU) campaigning on every cause under the sun apart from the real issues facing university staff. Our president is, IMO, a waste of space leading her chants of ‘trans rights are human rights’ (what rights do transgender individuals not possess?) instead of working hard to protect jobs. How she got re-elected I’ll never understand.

Even posing such a question is outside the realm of what is permitted. No questions asked. No debate. The nature of trans activism is totalitarian in nature - it has to be because it is working against reality and must therefore maintain total control over the narrative at all times.

Going by that interpretation then women are not a consideration at all. They don't exist as a distinct category with established protections.

A lot of these activists are women. Women can be just as susceptible to ideological group think as men.

Everyone who goes to conference is an activist......they don't really represent their membership. This is true for all trade unions including teachers' and doctors' unions. and as activists they are committed to the 'progressive' doctrine - no questions asked.

So hold on, if women defending their right to single sex spaces is “transphobic”, then surely TRA defending trans rights are misogynistic? If not, why not?

The phrase "LGBT+ rights" is an oxymoron. Among the biggest victims of trans ideology have been gay kids confused about their sexuality who've been led to believe that what they're feeling means they must be the opposite sex. See Keira Bell or Ritchie Herron.

In what way is it pro-gay rights to tell lesbians that we're"transphobic" if we're not willing to date biological men who "identify" as lesbians? Why do you imagine that all lesbians and gay men support biological men in women's sports or women's toilets? What does any of that have to do with gay rights?

The majority of union members in this country are women. What is wrong with these people? I can see why no one spoke against because they would probably have been lynched by the TRAs, but elevating TW in this way (and it isn’t TM they are campaigning for) not only damages women’s rights, it damages LGB rights, means victims of rape and sexual assault can’t get single sex support and are tied by the same urinary leash that will impact Orthodox Jews, Muslims and anyone who simply doesn’t want to share a toilet with a man. There will be question marks over TM’s entitlement to maternity leave and maternity pay. Women’s sport will be damaged. And all so that men don’t feel sad?

I’ve been a trade union member for over four decades and I’m absolutely livid.

It’s an acknowledgment that to eliminate sex as a factor in policy, the law is going to have to be changed. I hope to goodness that this is never achieved, but it is at least a belated recognition that the law currently does not allow sex to disappear from the record. I am crossing my fingers that even those MPs who think somebody’s random idea of ‘gender’ should override sex recognise what a dragged out toxic unwinnable electoral quagmire of a fight this would be, and they avoid it as much as possible. Perhaps they even recognise the factual issues, who knows. My MP is a true believer but even she does do her best to represent what her constituents, including me, say

The original meaning in the Equality act 2010 is SEX. It’s women’s SEX that makes us vulnerable to discrimination and male violence.

Gender-fucking-identity is NOT SEX.
No matter how much sad men want to be female, they are UTTERLY IGNORANT about what it is to be female. COMPLETELY FUCKING IGNORANT. It is a projected fantasy and it is 100% disrespectful appropriation.

The court went over this very clearly and in great depth. Sex discrimination only makes sense if is is about a person’s actual sex.

As always on this board, “defending women” is a twisted euphemism for transphobia. Union members support LGBT+ rights and the restoration of the original intent of the drafters of the 2010 EA.

I wish unions would concentrate on the issues faced by majority members and not political positions.

On a personal level i'm cross, because we have some stuff brewing at work and management are encouraging people to join the Union. I was tempted to do so but this sort of shite makes it very difficult.
