How has evidence on puberty suppressing hormones for children and young people with gender incongruence evolved since 2023, and what challenges affect its interpretation and use?
This project has two main research questions:
- What research evidence has been published since the 2023 POST briefing on the benefits, risks and uncertainties associated with puberty-suppressing hormones for children and young people with gender incongruence, and how has the evidence base evolved?
- What challenges affect the generation, evaluation and interpretation of research evidence on this issue, and how do these influence clinical and policy decision-making?
