From Nick Wallis' Genderblog:

On 6 August 2026, BBC Three Counties local radio station, which covers Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, ran a half hour current affairs chat on the Jonathan Vernon-Smith Show. The midday item was posed as a question: “Do you think it’s right to tell transgender people which toilet to use?”

The first contributor put on air to talk about that question were Robin Moira White, a male barrister who claims to be a woman. Robin advocates for men to be able to use women’s toilets and does so himself. The next guest was Nora Padilla, a full-time policy officer at the campaign group TransActual, which also advocates for men to be able to use women’s toilets. Then we heard from “Michelle” from Watford. Like Robin, Michelle is a man who claims to be a woman and – surprise surprise – advocates for male use of female facilities....
[my bold]

And the story goes on. And gets more and more damning for the BBC. The useless, ridiculously activist, taxpayer-supported BBC... Still.

BBC Gender Apology Row

Now they’re in trouble. Sex Matters. (l-r) Dr Helen Joyce, Maya Forstater and Fiona McAnena I am not a defund the BBC sort, but I can understand the frustrations of those who are. I have spok…

Pointing to a horrific crime that happened in a park does not prove that a park and an isolated, unlit carpark carry the exact same risk profile.

Statistically and behaviorally, environment, visibility, and foot traffic drastically alter opportunity and risk

Just pointing out that being in a busy park/public place does not stop men from being dangerous.

Rollingpinofdoom · 12/09/2026 23:18

@NotTodayTy Men who get put in female prisons because they claim to be trans have raped women. Did they not get the memo about being better behaved in mixed sex spaces?

So you ARE expecting women to be human shields for TIM aren’t you? Why do you hate women so much? Don’t you think they deserve single sex spaces?

a TIF was raped within one hour of being put in a male psych facility? Don’t think anyone had told those men they had to be well behaved in a mixed sex space. She was raped 3 times before she got moved. So tell me again why mixed sex spaces are safe for women…. I’ll wait….

Nick Wallis seems to believe that there is a real person behind the reply. Let's see if the follow up question about Sex Matters being told that they were not needed gets a similar tone of reply.

Oh there is a real person yes. But they didn't write the reply, they just prompted the AI. There's no genuine apology there. No human had to consider whether and how they wanted to apologise, nor how much regret to express.

Partially, yes. People modify their behaviour based on who is present, the layout of the space, and the presence of witnesses. I was mostly talking about a well designed mixed sex space with plenty of footfall in a visible areas.

So how come men don’t modify their behaviour around women when it comes to murdering, raping and assaulting them? So what would you say to a woman in this mixed sex space who gets raped by a man who is perfectly allowed to be there? “It’s ok love, you were doing the Lords work cos we let men in there so other men could feel safe? Thanks for taking one for the team”? Why do you think we have single sex toilets to begin with? Why did women campaign so hard for them? Why are Oxfam actively campaigning to have single sex toilets in India, Nepal and Pakistan? Are Oxfam wrong to do that? If so. Why?

Would he be just as dangerous in a busy public park as he would in a quiet carpark?

Yes.

And now we're talking about toilets again, very clever... almost worked.

Back to the BBC and their "response."

Sorry @Rollingpinofdoom don't think we'll get a answer to your questions tonight. But we can keep trying.

So what makes you think that man would be just as dangerous in a mixed sex space?

So, trans-identified men ARE men after all? Interesting.

And are you saying that trans- identified men ARE dangerous in female spaces?

But that, if we make the space mixed-sex, with OTHER MEN AROUND, miraculously, these trans-identified men are suddenly not dangerous?

Curiouser and curiouser.

So, trans-identified men are dangerous BECAUSE there are only women around.

I don't think this is really the argument you want to be making.

What are you talking about? I was referring to the hypothetical man that was dangerous to trans women that @Rollingpinofdoom wrote about

Why would he be just as dangerous? I’ve pointed out that the space and the expectations surrounding it could change behaviour, but you’re ignoring that. If women's spaces are genuinely women only then tras don't want women to have them. Nothing to do with being scared of other men. Just spite.

BridgetYourFortyDaysAreUp · 12/09/2026 22:55

I did answer the original question.

You didn't.

The question is:
But don’t TIM claim they are unsafe in male spaces? If toilets are unisex, the very males TIM are afraid of will be in those spaces with them. Won’t that make the TIM unsafe?

I think it’s a matter of expectations. A cis man using the mens probably isn’t expecting a female-presenting person to use the space and could respond negatively.

This is not an answer to the question. The question is not about how "cis" men might respond, but that trans-identified men claim they are unsafe in spaces where "cis" men are. Don’t TIM claim they are unsafe in male spaces?

I think it’s the same logic for why someone might find a mixed sex space at work safer than a public one.

This is not an answer to the question. Making all toilets uni/mixed-sex means that they will be spaces where "cis" men are. Where trans-identified men say they feel unsafe.
If toilets are unisex, the very males TIM are afraid of will be in those spaces with them. Won’t that make the TIM unsafe?

It's really not a puzzle unless you really need it to be:

TIMs are "unsafe in spaces where "cis" men are."

If we make everything mixed-sex, then...

TIMs will still be "unsafe in spaces where "cis" men are."

Won't they?

I think that poster is implying women will be used as human shields to keep the TIM safe and “protect the dolls”. Because men always listen to women 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Men calling themselves women say they want to be in women's spaces because they want spaces away from other men.

So yes, mixed sex spaces will be a problem for them.

Amazingly, this is women's logic, too.

I did answer the original question. I just didn’t treat it like the logic puzzle you are proposing.

Your framing ignores a pretty important variable: the type of space the person is using will have an impact on their behaviour. Unless you think a cis man in a single sex space would never behave differently in a mixed sex space with women?

I did answer the original question.

Why would that be a problem? I no more want trans/TRA voices silenced than I want GC Femimist voices silenced.

Indeed, the last thing I want is for TRAs to have an excuse to complain they aren't getting a fair deal.

Plus, GC Feminist arguments always hit best when a Genderist is there trying to counter them. If there's no Genderist to demonstrate the batshittery is real, a GC commentator has to choose between downplaying their summary of "the other side" to sound fair, or laying it out and sounding batshit themselves. So much of Genderism is so illogical and unbalanced with regard to considering basically anyone not trans that if you don't see it first hand you can't believe it is actually happening😂

I put the reply to Bob Hamstead in an AI detector, it said it was like at least partly AI generated.

Nick Wallis got plenty of 'adulation' for the sterling work he did on the Post Office scandal. If that was all that motivated him he wouldn't have touched gender with a ten foot pole.

But it is TIM who say men would be dangerous to them in male spaces. Are they lying? If a man is going to be dangerous in male spaces, why would he not be dangerous in a mixed sex space? If men are safe to be around TIM in a mixed sex space, they are perfectly safe to be around TIM in a male only space aren’t they? What would make him behave better in a mixed sex space?

ArabellaScott · 12/09/2026 22:50

ElenOfTheWays · 12/09/2026 20:53

I think that would be ok actually. Since TRAs haven't got a leg to stand on in the face of GC arguments let them speak.

I find it very tickling that TRAs think we want to stop any of them from speaking.

On the contrary. Bring it on! Let's hear those arguments! Louder for those at the back!

NotTodayTy · 12/09/2026 22:48

Rollingpinofdoom · 12/09/2026 22:42

But if he is dangerous to “female presenting people” in a male space, surely he would be just as dangerous to them in a mixed sex space? Why would he act differently in a mixed sex space? If men were so respectful of women, surely they wouldn’t rape, assault and murder them?

if you think TIM are women, then he would be around women if a TIM used the male toilet wouldn’t he? So therefore his behaviour around women would be the same in a male facility and a mixed sex facility wouldn’t it? Unless of course, you are saying TIM are not women?

You're arguing the wrong argument, or answering the wrong question, or at least one for which we are not awaiting an answer.

The question/ argument is:
But don’t TIM claim they are unsafe in male spaces? If toilets are unisex, the very males TIM are afraid of will be in those spaces with them. Won’t that make the TIM unsafe? Surely if TIM are safe in unisex spaces, they will be safe in the male toilets

Would you like to take a stab at giving a well-reasoned answer to this, that actually answers this conundrum, not a different one that you would prefer to answer?

That's what we are missing.

I did answer the original question. I just didn’t treat it like the logic puzzle you are proposing.
