Australians face being taken to the Human Rights Commission/Anti Discrimination Commission for not submitting to GI. Dragged through the courts and disciplined, threatened with jail and huge fines for saying the truth - that no man can be a woman, no woman can be a man, there are 2 sexes only, and no one can change their biological sex observed at birth.

Sall is a legend, and someone I fiercely admire - she has done the most that can be done in our current political and irrational society. I only hope that her courage calls to all of us in Australia, and encourages us to show the same and fight for our basic freedoms and rights.

What a load of fat, swinging bollocks. It never occurred to anyone that there were pragmatic reasons for single sex services and facilities? Why on earth what they exist in the first place, then?

Had they no imaginations?

Had they not explored what was happening in other countries? Has they not heard the objections put forward in the UK House of Lords? Most of these conflicts of rights and removals of women’s rights were predicted.

"Different time," bollocks to that. Like Scotland - oh, we didn't realise what the GRR bill might actually lead to. Well, they were stupid, blinkered or both - many of us knew exactly what it would lead to, but they refused to listen.

Don't forget that even Julia Gillard has done some backtracking. I think that is one of the chinks in the armour of this stupidity:

"So, it was a different time. It wasn't something squarely before the Parliament at the time that the legislation was being amended.
"So, I think we made an error in uplifting what we know now and public discourse now - and just putting it down 14 years ago."

We had an out which took incredibly brave women and culminating in the FWS SC ruling.

Aus doesn’t have that, it’ll need new legislation.

I think Australia allows people to criticise the law. I always wear my 'Proud TERF' hat around and regularly go to WRN protests. I'm always on social media posting my GC views (under my name). Never had any issues.

100% agree about Isla Bryson and that photo. Also there was that photo of Lia Thomas towering over the female competitors on the podium, really galvanised things.

Although as painful as it was we in the UK already had the legislation in place with the Equality Act to recognise gender critical as a protected belief. The TRAs did a fine job of misinterpreting the law and it took all those cases Allison, Maya etc to challenge the law ending eventually with FWS and the supreme court ruling. Australia has an even greater challenge ahead. Media and campaigners are forced to break the current laws if they speak up. Australia says it is proud of its free speech laws but it is a farce.
