Pip & Nut's trans inclusion policy

I haven't tried the hot and smoky one. The bacon flavour one sounded intriguing but was less bacony than I hoped. I've also generally been disappointed with flavoured nut butters. Particularly the Marmite one. I love the peanut butter/Marmite combo but the combination products was less than the sum of its parts.

Yes!! It’s revolting! Pip and Nuts is so thin, it won’t stay on the knife. Their Almond Butter is the same - utterly gross, like oil with bits of nut in.

I buy Meridian too. They do large jars (750g, I think). Whole Earth did do a tub, but I find their nut butters can be a bit hard and dry.

My mother always bought Meridian peanut butter because it's our family's preferred brand of tahini (which I do like, unlike peanut butter). My kids inform me they prefer it when I buy Sunpat. I'm learning a lot about peanut butter today. Not sure it's worth it.

So is this American company suggesting that they're going to follow the law in the UK (while obviously being very unhappy about it) because they don't want to find themselves in court?

Or are they going to break the law? Because their peanut butter is exceptionally 'inclusive'.

They are so inclusive they are making peanut butter for people with a nut allergy and are happy to see what happens.

I buy M&S big tub and there Manilife. Aldi also does a big tub.

Will they have a similar policy for families of gay and lesbian employees, I wonder? Very unfair to focus on this one protected characteristic.

I make my own nut butters, my grinder was £25 so not a huge outlay. I find though bulk nuts are not cheap!

I am from the old school and like Sun Pat (and PB powder for smoothies) but I did enjoy the occasional Pip & Nut peanut butter cup. Oh well.

I’m so tired of being preached at by companies. Even this BS wouldn’t be so bad if they just said that their sick pay, compassionate leave and time off for appointments policy was generous and thoughtful for all employees, mindful that people have different challenges in life, but no, they must bang the inclusive drum of shame and trumpet their woke credentials. How pissed off would you be if you needed time off to take an elderly parent to hospital or something and couldn’t get it, while they talk about leave for partners of trans and non-binary people? Such own goals all the time from these fools

Aldi and Lidl both do a 1kg tub of crunchy peanut butter that personally I think is easily as delicious as whole earth/pip and nut. Nothing in it apart from peanuts and a bit of salt.

But according to their accounts on Comps House for YE 31/12/24 There were only 30 employees (average) and that includes Directors (6 of them).

I suspect their policies have been written to make them sound really lovely on their BCorp accreditation but actually in practice don't apply to anyone.

Unless you manage to wrangle it so you only employ orphans or people who are NC with their parents, giving time off to employees to support elderly parents will cumulatively cost much more money.

Sorry to bang this drum, but we need to publicly recognise that employers make features out of trans policies because they anticipate only a few individuals will ever use them!

Deliciously Ella do Almond Butter Cups that are quite similar the the Pip & Nut ones if anyone is looking for an alternative.

Nuts about nature doesn't have salt but it's really nice and you can get 1kg tub or a smaller jar if you want to try it first

We like Proper Nutty, though I have no idea if it's also up its own backside!

It's really confusing though as on their web page it states proudly

and
'buy women built'

..... wtf? If sex/gender whatever they want to call it doesn't matter to them, then why would this be important to state?

What is female or a woman to them anyway? Just someone who says they are? Weird
