Pip & Nut's trans inclusion policy

We buy loads of this stuff as we are big peanut butter consumers in my household. Not any more though after seeing this policy. Imagine being a GC person working for this company 🙁As ever, their definition of "inclusion" centres firmly around one protected characteristic, and to hell with anyone who thinks sex matters in certain situations.

Can anyone recommend a good crunchy, oil free peanut butter with just just a sprinkling of salt sold in 1kg tubs 🙏🏻

There are virtue signallers all over P&N's post on Linkedin about this, so P&N probably think they've done a great job here. What they might not realise is that many people will read their post and won't comment (there is at least one comment saying they can't believe people post their bigotry when their name and employment details are visible 🙄), but will quietly turn away from brands that engage in this type of activism.

Absolutely this. There are several companies I no longer buy from because of gender nonsense. I never tell them or comment on social media about it, I just stop giving them my money.

Personally, I wouldn't take my legal advice from someone who produces nut butters and links to GLP as a source for their knowledge.

Oh no. I regularly buy both their peanut and almond butters. I won't be doing that again. I was delighted to find their nut butters without added oils, but now I'll be looking for new ones - thanks for the recommendations on this thread!

Pip & Nut, you are a food company. We want you to make tasty food. Not virtue signal online and boast about censoring anyone who dares comment to disagree with the utterly nonsensical position that people can change sex.

No version with salt yet OP but maybe email them to suggest it?

We also buy PB by the kilo. I’ll try the Sainsbury’s one - is it any better than Aldi (which tends to go a bit solid towards the bottom of the tub)?
Definitely no more P&N in this house now, muppets.

Before Pip & Nut we had the Manilife brand. Just as good, can’t remember why we switched.

Pip did this. Got interested in pb while long distance running. Bought a £500 grinder and spent months perfecting the recipe and testing on customers at London’s food markets. How much peanut butter do you need to make to justify the cost of the grinder?!

And why is a company openly declaring on LinkedIn that they support the EHRC guidance, when the guidance simply reflects the law? And they put single sex spaces in quotation marks. Just fuck off.

It is so annoying when brands act like this but it is up to them if they want to lose customers, looking at you, Wickes, M&S and Oxfam.

I buy Lidl or Aldi peanut butter in 1kg tubs as it is 100% peanuts with no palm oil. It doesn't have salt added but I always have it with marmite.

Activism from companies is so tiresome. Even if it is stuff I agree with, it just turns me off. It should go without saying that they have legally-compliant policies that protect all their staff, whatever their beliefs.

I agree with you. If a company is trying to sell me something I'd advise them not to push any agenda. It's a terrible look. Ditto asking me to make a donation at the check out. I've got my charitable giving sorted thanks. (That's a whole other area of ridiculous campaigns/misuse of funds).
