Pissed you can't piss in peace

Being trans right now is to be institutionally discriminated against. It’s having to worry about where and when you can go to the loo. Which is fucking outrageous. That this should happen under a so called Labour government is unforgivable.

Meanwhile we stagger on. If you want backup using a toilet I’m yours. I’ll walk into the ladies with you and tell people to back the fuck off if I have to. I will walk into the men’s too if I have to, so everyone is scandalised at me while you get a chance to sneak in and have a piss in peace. The situation is ludicrous - what I can do is a drop in the ocean, but drop I will.

Maybe I need to print myself a t-shirt that says fighting for the freedom to piss in peace. I don’t know. The world is on fire both metaphorically and literally, yet of all the things one could do a big chunk of people have chosen to gang up on a vulnerable minority. It’s like watching people dig their own graves.

If that is the case, then why all the bloody queues?

Because they assume that men and women take similar amounts of time to urinate.

But women have to go into a cubicle
Lock the door
Hang up a bag or coat - sometimes this is not possible, and just trying to work it out takes a few seconds
Remove sufficient clothing to sit on the toilet
Urinate
Remove toilet tissue from dispenser if there is any, search bag you just hung on the door out of reach for tissues if not
Wipe
Put paper in the loo
Sometimes deal with a period, including

  • removing the used pad or tampon
  • disposing of it in the bin which is pressed against your leg and overflowing with other women's used sanitary products.
  • wiping and cleaning up
  • finding a new pad or tampon from the bag you just hung on the door out of reach
  • unwrapping the pad or tampon
  • dispose of the wrapper and strip as applicable in the same sanitary bin
  • place the pad or tampon appropriately
Replace clothing Flush toilet Collect bag and coat and possibly put coat back on Unlock the door Wash hands

This does not include the steps for those using a mooncup (never used one, but I'm sure it has its own palaver), or those who with babies and/or small children and dealing with their toileting needs, interactions as well.

Men
Approach a urinal
Unzip trousers or shorts
Pull out penis
Urinate
Put penis back
Zip up trousers or short
Leave the faciliites

So women need more toilets closer to the auditorium/reception. Many architects put the men's toilets closest because they draw them first. Now I've told you, you are going to notice that.

We decided to separate men from women for good reason, but regardless we did separate them.

So there is now no amount of wordplay that will make it ok for men to sneak into women's toilets, changing rooms, sports and so on. And that's ok because they have their own single sex spaces.

We didn't separate on the basis of lipstick or dress length. Or whether someone has a nice wig. We went by sex which is unchanging and unequivocal. ( yes I know what they say on Reddit/Tiktok but it is unchanging in the real world)

Now as long as a man - whether he is trans or not - keeps out of women's spaces he can hold whatever opinion he likes.

Opinions are free. Even when completely based on fantasy such as your attempt to dismiss the very real and documented threat to women by men.

The matter is settled in law and reality. It's time for men to move on

Well said LastTrainsEast, I like your approach .

'the matter is settled in law and reality' is so good I'm going to steal itSmile

MyrtleLion · 06/08/2026 14:23

Here is your handy three-point guide for going to the toilet if you are a trans identified man, under the Equality Act 2010 and the accompanying EHRC guidance:

  1. Use the men's loo.
  2. If you're uncomfortable or worried about your safety in the men's loo, use the accessible toilet. It's private and used by both sexes one at a time.
  3. Do not use the women's loo.

Well, yes, building regs and Workplace regs have required ratios, by sex.

If that is the case, then why all the bloody queues?

And like the tediously high volume, high frequency tide of sexually violent threats, this aggressive invasion is coming only from one group, with the common characteristic being men.

No women with gender identities shouting about invading and harassing men in single sex spaces. In the same way no women shouting about sexually assaulting and murdering any men who say no to them.

Getting a bit obvious now.

Well, quite. Despite the desperate attempts at 'both sides as bad as each other!!!', it's absolute horseshit.

All the 'I'll piss on you/decapitate terfs/the only good terf is a dead terf' signs and threats from one side and...the dictionary definition of a woman on the other.

So disabled people, who have no choice, would just have to wait while self-entitled men flounce through their facilities. Yup, everyone has to defer to the narcissists.

I couldn’t agree more, @LeftieRightsHoarder - why should disabled people be forced to wait for what is already a scarce facility - possibly soiling themselves - because a man in a dress doesn’t want to use the correct sex facilities!

StandingDeskDisco · 06/08/2026 10:20

Nobody is policing your appearance.
Where what you like.
Just use the correct toilet for your sex.

This.

Dolatowski was enabled to commit two crimes in Fife precisely because at that time his trans status supposedly gave him the right to enter women's facilities.

The usual argument is 'Well, any man could have barged in...' The point is that Dolatowski claimed - and keeps claiming - that he has a right to use women's spaces and is 'unsafe' in spaces designated for men.

Her posts suggest on facebook and instagram. But it's an interesting point you make. She is a biological woman and she doesn't post videos of herself, taking men down a peg, or two, trying to convince them she's one of them.

Only men feel entitled to take woman apart and demand we accept what they're saying.

Many of the strategies and approaches are dependent on being depersonalised or abstract and they get away with this by the legitimate point about not wanting to focus on individuals.

I long to ask people if they are confused about their sex, or know of others who are confused about their sex, when they bang on about sex being complicated and a spectrum. I’d live to ask them if they struggle to know what to do to prevent unwanted pregnancy or STIs.

I thought that the sinks also need to be within the cubicle?

They do if it’s in a mixed sex environment outside the toilet compartment. However whether they did pre 2024 in England is a matter of debate.

Any refurbishments or new builds after 2024 have to conform to approved document T (but schools and a few other places are exempt). All cubicles have to lead to single sex accommodation.

Universal rooms need to lead onto a main circulation space ideally.

What is interesting in design terms is now the fight for the washroom (hand basins)!

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were saying that the transman was outspoken about people accepting her as a male. I struggle to picture a transman taking men apart who claim she isn’t male. It makes for an interesting dynamic.

FlirtsWithRhinos · 06/08/2026 12:56

Always worth remembering that if you take away the meaningless¹ gender labels, what TRAs are actually advocating for is dividing toilets, sports, prisons, rape crisis support etc into "Facilities for people who may be threatened or marginalised by others" and "Facilities for people who are threatening or oppressing of others" on a self identified basis.

Well I don't know about you, but I see maybe a tiny wee flaw in that 😂

¹ I say meaningless because no TRActivist or TRAlly has ever actually defined "man" and "woman" as anything other than "what someone feels themself to be, which may or may/not be the same thing as the person beside them who uses the same label", making gender labels effectively meaningless when applied to differentiate groups of people.

Generally everyone. Resharing videos on transwomen complaining that they will be expected to use the mens toilets. This man in the shared video was asking people to define biological sex as the view given is over simplified and year 9 leven 🤯

Biological sex is the most stable and binary definition on the planet among mammals.

Is the outspokenness directed at both males and females? Is it directed at people of all classes and races, or are certain types targeted?

The Piss in Peace Inconsistency.

If the sex of the person in the cubicle next to you doesn't matter, then transwomen can use the mens to piss in peace.

If the sex of the person in the cubicle next to you does matter then biological men have no business being in the female facilities.

Either it matters or it doesn't, you can't have it both ways.

YES! THIS! Thank you!

And I also found the initial post in this thread to be quite threatening, but let them speak.

It is very revealing when we let them speak.

Yes it will be. It seems the design line in the sand is a door gap in a mixed sex environment. I have never found a regulated design that allows this.

Building control, British Standards, HSE toilet advice is like the Supreme Court Judges said - none of it makes sense if woman and man don’t have a biological meaning.

The ‘bodge’ is making single sex designs mixed sex by making the toilet cubicle completely private. This is what ‘inclusive’ designers do without doing risk assessments on who this could affect.

I'm pissed off the new women's toilets at Kew Gardens cafe have floor to ceiling doors. I wonder if it's because they know men will used them and will never be challenged by Kew 'queering plants' Gardens.

I am pissed off the Lightsight in London rebuilt their mens and women's toilets, to join the two rooms together, with shared sinks. The whole thing is down a corridor with two doors between it and the lobby/shop. And because they know there are privacy issues with mixed sex provision, they've made the doors floor to ceiling, making it easy to push a woman or child into a cubicle to assault them, and making it harder to know if someone's ill in there.
And because they did this in 2023, it's not even illegal AFAIK.

I mean, we are all walking phenotypes, even cis people, and to assume that there are no deviations from a hard-line biological distinction set out in genetic code seems un-scientific and unreasonable to expect in an age that has long-since accepted nature V's nature is a false distinction. The idea we are all equipped with skills that makes chromosomes, hormonal profiles and gonads 100% observable with clothes on seems nonsensical in this day and age. But moreover, there is no sense in creating division where statistics do not back up any of the widespread danger claims that are being touted around. I doubt any trans people are here to read this, but if you are, panic not. Trans people are always going to be here so society needs to adapt to you, not the other way around.

I haven't been on FWR much over the last couple of days because it has been fascinating to watch the foot stamping tantrums over on Twitter at men finally being told no.

Amusingly, the foot stamping tantrums are doing nothing but making those who have (somehow) been unaware of all this up until now very aware and 'wait, what?' about the whole thing.

So, carry on lads. The whole 'we will piss where we want' has such an entitled male territory vibe that it's proving our point beautifully.

I remember the first time I experienced a mixed sex toilet a good few years ago. It was in what was at the time quite a ‘cool’ bar. Everyone was in one big room with cubicles (can’t remember if they were designated male/female or if it was a free for all) and men and women shared the sinks in the middle.

As soon as I walked in I was met by an aggressive man having a go at his girlfriend near the entrance. I was shocked and said something and he then had a go at me. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. Funnily enough, I’ve never experienced that in single sex toilets.

I’d like to take up OP’s offer so that if I ever have to go somewhere like that again (though I try not to) they could accompany me to deal with any angry men in the vicinity so that I could just ‘pee in peace’.

That's shocking

The transman i know is so very outspoken as being accepted as male in every way shape or form.

But this person it as risk of rape no matter how they identify.

I really do worry. Women are always at risk of rape no matter how they identify.

Is the outspokenness directed at both males and females? Is it directed at people of all classes and races, or are certain types targeted?

maudelovesharold · 06/08/2026 11:08

You know how some transwomen may feel nervous having to walk into a men’s toilet? That’s how some women may feel when a transwoman with male genitalia walks into the women’s toilets. Think about it for a bit. Who do you think might be more vulnerable?

Some men who identify as women feel they have stopped being men, others not so much. The fact that there is no way of telling beforehand who is likely to be a threat, is why women had their own spaces in the first place. When there used to be no corridors on trains, there were women only train carriages.

Of course not all transwomen are a threat. Not all men are a threat, but the not being able to tell, is why it is, and always has been, safer for women to have their own protected spaces, because they are and always will be, physically more vulnerable than a male who has gone through puberty - the majority of transwomen, I would guess.

Alongside the rise in gender fluidity, sex is a spectrum, TWAW, etc.etc has been the rise of the 'gender reveal party' where what is revealed is actually the sex of the baby, and there are only two possibilities, the pink balloon or the blue balloon..

Funny that. It's almost as if most people know that human sex is binary, and when they say 'gender' they just mean biological sex, not a soul or an identity.

I don't understand how the sex can be revealed pre-birth though, if the baby doesn't have its sex assigned until birth? How on earth can they tell? People could be wasting a whole lot of money on the wrong colour balloons.

/sarcasm

Lottapianos · 06/08/2026 11:01

'Alongside the rise in gender fluidity, sex is a spectrum, TWAW, etc.etc'

'Sex is a spectrum' just sends me to the fair 🤦🏻‍♂️ I always want to ask these people if they actually understand where babies come from and how they are made! Even tiny children are capable of understanding (at a basic level) that sex is binary
