Pissed you can't piss in peace

Being trans right now is to be institutionally discriminated against. It’s having to worry about where and when you can go to the loo. Which is fucking outrageous. That this should happen under a so called Labour government is unforgivable.

Meanwhile we stagger on. If you want backup using a toilet I’m yours. I’ll walk into the ladies with you and tell people to back the fuck off if I have to. I will walk into the men’s too if I have to, so everyone is scandalised at me while you get a chance to sneak in and have a piss in peace. The situation is ludicrous - what I can do is a drop in the ocean, but drop I will.

Maybe I need to print myself a t-shirt that says fighting for the freedom to piss in peace. I don’t know. The world is on fire both metaphorically and literally, yet of all the things one could do a big chunk of people have chosen to gang up on a vulnerable minority. It’s like watching people dig their own graves.

I mean, we are all walking phenotypes, even cis people, and to assume that there are no deviations from a hard-line biological distinction set out in genetic code seems un-scientific and unreasonable to expect in an age that has long-since accepted nature V's nature is a false distinction. The idea we are all equipped with skills that makes chromosomes, hormonal profiles and gonads 100% observable with clothes on seems nonsensical in this day and age. But moreover, there is no sense in creating division where statistics do not back up any of the widespread danger claims that are being touted around. I doubt any trans people are here to read this, but if you are, panic not. Trans people are always going to be here so society needs to adapt to you, not the other way around.

BridgetYourFortyDaysAreUp · 05/08/2026 14:25

@IntolerantOfIntolerance I bloody can't be bothered with this, because you won't read it anyway. Just use the toilets appropriate to your biological sex. Done. If that's too difficult to work out, reframe your trauma or stay home.

AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment · 05/08/2026 14:21

Thousands of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well other disabilities that severely limit mobility, cannot use standard accessible toilets.

People may be limited in their own mobility so need equipment to help them or may need support from one or two carers to either get on the toilet or to have their continence pad changed.

Standard accessible toilets (or "disabled toilets") do not provide changing benches or hoists and most are too small to accommodate more than one person. Without Changing Places toilets, the person with disabilities is put at risk, and families are forced to risk their own health and safety by changing their loved one on a toilet floor.

This is dangerous, unhygienic and undignified.

It is now accepted and expected that everyone has a right to live in the community, to move around within it and access all its facilities. Government policy promotes the idea of "community participation" and "active citizenship," but for some people with disabilities the lack of a fully accessible toilet is denying them this right.

Although the numbers are increasing, there are still not enough Changing Places toilets across the country.

Providing these toilets in public places would make a dramatic difference to the lives of thousands of people who desperately need these facilities.

I've tweaked it for you OP

Being a BIOLOGICAL WOMAN right now is to be institutionally discriminated against.
I will walk into the men’s too if I have to, so everyone is scandalised at me while you get a chance to sneak in and have a WEE in peace. The situation is ludicrous - what I can do is a drop in the ocean, but drop I will.
Maybe I need to print myself a t-shirt that says fighting for the freedom to WEE in peace. I don’t know. balliolis · 05/08/2026 14:17

The law is quite clear, males regardless of how they dress or feel have to use male facilities if they insist on using women's spaces then they are in breech of the law and actively bullying and harassing women, which is pretty typical male behaviour. I really hope the males who like to imagine themselves as women actually have some empathy for women and will stay out of female only spaces. By refusing to do so and continuing to push for access they only expose themselves as narcissistic misogynists who only value women for the validation they gain from imposing themselves on them.

Now OP tell me again who is it really who is asking to piss in peace? Is it Males who want pretend they are women and force everyone else to also enter into that pretence or is it women who are often too afraid to challenge males for fear of violent reactions?

DabOfPistachio · 05/08/2026 14:16

OPs first message explains exactly why women have had to fight to keep him out of our safe spaces.
Zero respect, empathy or consideration for women and girls and no understanding or caring why we need them. Just an angry diatribe about 'pissing' where he likes and a threat to challenge any take on any woman who objects.
And yes I'm going to use 'he' because that was one of the most 'angry man' posts I've seen on the internet.

GreyskySexRealistsky · 05/08/2026 14:14

Well said @AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment

There are people in this country who genuinely struggle to leave the house due to lack of appropriate toilet provision.

AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment · 05/08/2026 14:13

Being trans right now is to be institutionally discriminated against. It’s having to worry about where and when you can go to the loo.

Could be worse. You could be disabled and need a hoist to use a public toilet. There are about 250,000 people in the UK who need fully adapted toilets, and there are only 2,673 of those toilets in the UK.

I know multiple people who have to wear adult nappies outside the house because of lack of disabled provision.

MyPlumHelper · 05/08/2026 14:10

Why are trans people so obsessed with toilets. It's almost as if they are fetishising going into the opposite sex toilets, to which there shouldn't be in.

Oh wait a minute ...

A significant proportion of the world's population has no access to a toilet or sanitation at all. It's a sobering thought. Be thankful you have anywhere to piss and pick a struggle.

wherearemypeople · 05/08/2026 14:10

Trans people aren't being discriminated against - they have the same facilities available to them based on their sex.

If, and it is extremely unlikely, but if a person "passes" so well that no-one realises they're the opposite sex then they can obviously break the rules without any fear, no-one will even realise.

If they do get challenged they might realise that the people telling them they pass are liars.

Amazing how these new posters magically found FWR today, isn't it. Welcome! You will learn a lot.

isn’t it just?’

murasaki · 05/08/2026 14:07

Quite, it's hardly surprising women wanted their stuff back.

And went about it legally rather than by threats and violence, which after all, is a very male way of doing things.

SidewaysOtter · 05/08/2026 14:06

But oddly enough, after No Debate, piss protests, men with loudhailers and whistles disturbing women-only meetings, women losing their jobs, intact men insisting on getting their kit off in women's changing rooms and expecting the women to return the favour, men exposing themselves in women's spaces, men demanding to placed in women's prisons and men pinching women's sporting awards, that toleration has worn away nothing.

Not forgetting the overt threats of violence via signs such as “The only good TERF is a dead TERF”, “Arm trans kids”, pictures of guillotines etc etc.

LizzieSiddal · 05/08/2026 14:05

EdithStourton · 05/08/2026 13:56

Once upon a time a lot of women were reasonably tolerant of - though often somewhat unsettled by - transsexuals who wanted to use the women's facilities.

So far as I am concerned, TW can just fuck off to the gents. All of them, because the ones who are not TRAs were too lily-livered to stand up to them, and left women to do it. and if they don't like being in there with the big boys, they might want to think about women feel about having the boys in their loos.

Brilliant post and sums up many women’s feelings. We were accepting and we did roll over for decades. We’re now faced with male violence and threats and we are not having it. Transwomen can indeed fuck off to their designated spaces, which is Male.

We ain’t sharing anymore.

StickySundew · 05/08/2026 14:04

Frankly, yes.

I'm annoyed that despite legislation recognising that women need single-sex toilets for safety, privacy and dignity (and evidence that the design features of single-sex toilets make them safer for everyone and easier and quicker to clean) and the expenditure of public money to create such single-sex facilities ,a small group of entitled men and their enablers remain determined to make my life less safe than it should be and to deter some of my fellow women from going to some venues.

MarieDeGournay · 05/08/2026 14:03

You're working yourself up into such a distressed state for no reason, OP!
Piss in peace, whenever you need to - in the men's toilet.

We've been told that 'The Done Thing' for men is too go in to the men's toilet, pee, wash their hands [hopefully!] and leave, with zero-to-minimum interaction with the other users.

You'll be fine, and as well as having peed, you can feel pleased that you are neither breaking the law nor disrespecting women.

Though from the tone of your post, I have a feeling that you don't really care about the law, or respecting women, do you?

WallaceinAnderland · 05/08/2026 14:01

The Piss in Peace Inconsistency.

If the sex of the person in the cubicle next to you doesn't matter, then transwomen can use the mens to piss in peace.

If the sex of the person in the cubicle next to you does matter then biological men have no business being in the female facilities.

Either it matters or it doesn't, you can't have it both ways.

InSlovakiaTheCapitalOfCourseIsBratislava · 05/08/2026 14:01

Toilets and changing rooms are the only single sex space which most people engage with
But this single sex space legislation allows single sex prisons, women’s refuges and the other services most people are lucky enough not to ever need to use or even see

Pingponghavoc · 05/08/2026 14:00

Over on trans reddit the boys are either furious or excited at the idea of being found in the ladies.

Either way, it includes lots of violent and misogynistic language.

Good work fellas.

Amazing how these new posters magically found FWR today, isn't it. Welcome! You will learn a lot.

@IntolerantOfIntolerance sounds like one of those totally real women who have absolutely lovely but sad and vulnerable trans friends/relatives who wouldn't hurt a fly and you can't tell anyway, but who can't understand why any woman wouldn't want to welcome TW into all of the SSSs because they've never had any problems, so we must all be hateful bigots funded by the far right Christian nazis.

Or maybe it is a mate of SmashHate, (or what ever the username was, as they seem to be from the same name generator) who didn't get any good screenshots from previous threads?

Palomiino · 05/08/2026 14:00

Seriestwo · 05/08/2026 13:50

I would.

i can always tell, and the space is reserved for females.

its not for him.

Some transsexuals do pass. They are the ones you don’t see. The problem is that ‘trans’ has become a personality trait. It’s a space now co-opted by many many, men who don’t have gender dysphoria at all - they just have loud, entitled voices.

TeenToTwenties · 05/08/2026 13:58

Trans people don't have to worry. They use the loos of their sex like the rest of the population. If challenged they reply politely. Sorted.

10 years or whatever ago trans rights campaigners could have chosen to campaign for additional unisex individual toilets. But they didn't, instead they spread the lie that trans people could use opposite sex facilities.

I'm surprised that a thread that seems to be hinting at violence against service users who wish to comply with the law is something that MN wants to allow for discussion and engagement.

Yes, I thought that at first.

But really, it's another opportunity to provide killer take-down arguments.

Not that I'm seeing any of the engagement called for by the OP so far.

I assume you are American: 'pissed' means drunk in the UK, not angry.
However I will reply from a UK perspective

Being trans right now is to be institutionally discriminated against.
No. Gender Reassignment is specifically protected in the Equality Act.

It’s having to worry about where and when you can go to the loo. Which is fucking outrageous.
You can use the loo for your biological sex. No need to worry about it.

That this should happen under a so called Labour government is unforgivable.
I don't like the forced teaming of left-wing politics with identity politics, but perhaps that is for another post.

Male-pattern aggressiveness.

The world is on fire both metaphorically and literally,
Kind of. Climate change and out-of-control wild fires are hugely serious.

yet of all the things one could do
It is possible to fight for multiple causes and campaigns at once.

a big chunk of people have chosen to gang up on a vulnerable minority.
No, we have chosen to protect the rights of a vulnerable majority - i.e. women.
I see no reason to treat trans people as any more vulnerable than many other minorities of many kinds. Given that transwomen are male-bodied, they are physically less vulnerable than most women.
