This is a MtF transexual GP boasting in a medical journal about giving intimate examinations to women back in 2017. He is still practising as a GP.

A lot of my patients were quite conservative — many female patients wore long clothes, or the hijab — but they allowed me to examine them despite my change. In fact, after my transition, they even allowed me to perform more intimate examinations that they did not let me to do when I was a male GP. Every single one of them refused my offer of a chaperone even when they knew that I am transgender.

Sounds like AGP fantasy to me. I can't imagine that Muslim women would accept a trans-identified man performing intimate examinations on them for a minute.

That said, if patients actually know the doctor is a trans-identified man and can make an informed choice regarding whether to accept such an examination from them then I think that is fine.

The issue is where they lie by omission and so women are unknowingly accepting intimate care from a man.

Looking at a previous post by the same person he has just finished training as a mental health nurse.

God help the vulnerable mentally unwell women he will encounter. That said, if he's training as a mental health nurse why is he performing breast and cervical examinations? Sounds like a sexual fantasy to me.

Tbf, I might not require a chaperone if it was an openly male doctor who I knew and trusted but that's kinda moot because all make HCPs I've seen in the last few years have insisted - it's for their protection as well as mine, after all. If it was someone trying to conceal their sex, male OR female, I'd want a chaperone because to me that's starting the interaction with a lie and I don't trust you after that.
