What I find quite funny is that author JKR created a fantasy world and characters that captured and fired up young peoples' imagination. For those young people the world of Harry Potter is just as real and far more magical than the real world. Escapism can be very powerful and inspiring. It could also be considered a bit like a drug, people can get addicted to it.

At the same time another fantasy world has been constructed around JKR in the heads of TRAs where they live under constant subjugation and oppression, where they are the victims. It seems the desire to play the victim is even more addictive than escapism. These are the addicts far beyond help.
JKR created a fantasy world of positivity. A second fantasy world of negativity has been created around her by men who don't like to hear the world "no".

No, I know exactly what you mean. I grew up with a father who was incapable of saying sorry. It's something I feel strongly about and have raised my sons to be able to do - admit mistakes; say sorry. I am so aware how angry this assault on women, safeguarding, language and reason has made me and how liable to reactiveness this makes me.

This might be the most disingenuous (understatement) aspect of the whole, rotten movement. Activists will lie about EVERYTHING (biological sex, crime stats, even things they have posted and said, when we all have the receipts). They lie and lie until they don't even know what reality is anymore. They pretend (or pretend to really believe) that their lies ARE reality. And they have tried to force everyone else to lie as well.

And yet...

I have never once heard or read an activist say that what they want is 'the right to go anywhere I want and the right to have everything I want'.

Which is actually the truth.

So they know when to lie and when not to lie. They know exactly what they're doing, all these "vulnerable" flowers.

If everything else they say isn't true, then why should we be expected to go along with it?

Conversely, if the rest of what they say IS true, then why is it not ok to say the truth about what they actually need want?

Because they know that this would be the end of their movement.

Also if she wants clarity around what “rights” amnesty are campaigning for, she needs to contact them. I am not their spokesperson, in fact I have absolutely nothing do with their organisation (nor any other TRA organisation)

She was attacking me. Saying the words ‘trans rights’ doesn’t mean that I automatically support trans rights. For example, if I said ‘republicans in the US are campaigning for gun rights’ or ‘republicans are generally pro-life’ it doesn’t mean I support gun rights or that I am pro-life myself.

People are so hostile/uncharitable on this forum. You can’t breathe without being accused of being secretly a TRA. Everyone will presume the worst of you based on absolutely nothing. We are supposed to be on the same side!

I fully expect them to continue to campaign for trans rights but to do so in more legally sound ways.

What trans rights do you want AI UK to campaign for? Trans people already have the same rights as non trans people in the UK.
