Trans “genocide” leading to them seeking asylum. WTAF?

Seen on a local FB group today. JKR had tweeted about Stella Creasy, our local MP. SC posted her response on a community FB group (she’s captured). Most responses from TRA’s but a few who put their head above the parapet re the erosion of women’s rights.
Anyway one post states that there is a “genocide of trans people” in this country and her trans friends are looking to seek asylum.

Im gobsmacked. Truly. I just don’t even know where to start with a post like that.

We live in a very LGBTQ friendly area. I’m very happy with that. I see MTF trans people daily. What I’m most definitely not seeing is any sign of a “genocide”. Nor have I heard of anyone local (or elsewhere) fleeing the UK to seek asylum…where exactly?

Madness.

Iran is very supportive of gender reassignment surgery.

If we could send transpeople over there & have an equivalent number of Iranian women over here, that would work.

This sounds like a great idea.

hholiday · 25/07/2026 22:23

Could we do a transfer scheme with Australia? We get all their actual women, they get all our men in lady clothes. Then we can see how their birth rate fares.

Can we do a one in one out with some actual refugees?

Women’s rights aren’t being eroded. That’s a far right myth.

Oh, here we go

They've been screeching about their "genocide" for nearly 40 years now.

Well, colour me surprised! This piece just confirms what many on this forum (and elsewhere) have long been saying- it’s a men’s rights movement

localnotail · 24/07/2026 21:20

I see a lot of the extreme TRAs being insanely cringey and ill-informed Palestine supporters - I suggest they go and live there.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 24/07/2026 20:24

The only reaction is an overreaction, where would they be without their over the top performances.

Don't we still have that deal with Rwanda, no sense in paying for nothing, we've got plenty of their 'asylum seekers' can't they take a whole bunch of ours.

Or any idea of what women put up with from being ten or twelve.

The horrifying thing is that some of these men actually want the catcalling/sexual
harassment that women have to endure.

Paris Lees is one such man on record as getting a kick out of it. But I’ve read lots of Reddit posts written by men fantasising about men catcalling them in the street - they see it as validation and some of them like the sexual humiliation factor.

Secretseverywhere · 24/07/2026 18:22

That’ll be one of those “literal genocides”. Failing to believe in a persons chosen identity totally erases them from existence. I like to think of it as the tinkerbell effect. Now if all the terfs in the land could just believe that TWAW then we could end this terrible travesty.

Failing that I’ll help pack. I’m sure with their top notch Reddit moderator skills and hair trigger tempers other countries will be falling over themselves to welcome them with open arms.

Please don't come to France guys. Thanks in advance.

On the one hand: they could use the toilets they want.

On the other hand: considering how often I get ~misgendered~ all over the place, I doubt they would survive.

On the third hand: we famously don't speak English, so they might not even notice they are getting misgendered 😁

There was a black American man who tried to claim asylum in the UK. It was turned down but the last I read he was stuck here for some reason, even though he wants to return to the US now.

Can't find a new source that doesn't require acceptance of a million cookies but you can Google his name: Olabode Shoniregun

OMFG that's disturbing. Got a source for it?

It is, isn't it? Little has changed in terms of the vitriol that a certain segment of trans identified men show towards women.

Here's the source from X that was posted here a few months ago:

And for non X users:

I actually first came across the letter in The Transsexual Empire by the radical feminist professor Janice Raymond, she featured it in one of her later chapters.

@WomenReadWomen Germaine Greer nailed it nearly 40 years ago. TS hate women. Gender Ideology has been a gift to these men.

It is disgusting of them to use the word genocide.

Is this about the parrot? If it is and you want some background, Stella C made a bit of a fool of herself on X when she posted a pic of a green parakeet in a tree and asked if anyone had lost a parrot. Obviously there are a lot of wild parakeets in the area so lots of people mocked her for the post. Instead of just owning up and having a bit of a laugh about it I gather she took the huff, which led to a bit more mocking. I gather JKR also responded with a comment about not knowing what a parrot was nor a woman. It may not be this but if it was this is why JKR is involved.

yes there was mention of a fat parakeet, I wasn’t sure what that was about!

The thing is, I can believe they have experienced abuse in the streets etc. It happens and it can make people scared to leave the house.
But they don’t have a realistic idea of what the rest of the world is like if they think every other country is a paradise where everyone is respectful.

Or a realistic idea of what constitutes an environment or regime from which they need "asylum".

Absolutely

Honestly, it just reads as another thing activists are appropriating.

And it's genuinely insulting that they think that having human rights in law (which they do, the same as everyone else in England, Scotland, and Wales, slightly different NI) is not enough and they also have to have their "wants" met as well (even if that means that some other people's rights are taken away), makes them anything like in the same category as those who are actually needing asylum across the world.

Childish, petty, selfish, ME behavior. I pity those countries that decide to take them on. If there are any.
