In case anyone has missed this prize example of a mentally ill adult male exhibiting trans entitlement.

It's possible to be vulnerable and dangerous. This man is dressed like a pre-pubescent anime girl. Note his stripy stockings and little girl shoes.

It's very likely that he has a fetish for thinking he's a little girl. Indulging this fetish is obviously making him more unwell, because as he says, he thinks whenever people don't indulge him he's being 'abused'.

He should have been given therapy years ago to encourage him to realise that he can't change sex and he can't expect everyone else in the world to go along with his strange fantasy.

He has been let down horribly by the people who think they are being 'kind' to him. But he also has the potential to be violent, and he shouldn't be in women's spaces.

..and this is exactly where it ends.

So we will go back to pregnant children locked away, anyone with any difference locked away...all the scandals of the past repeated...the massive excess deaths in these institutions and more.

An appalling and hate filled thing to comment

There was no hate in that comment, which was based on current attitudes to possibly dangerous people, with mental problems, being allowed to walk around the streets, possibly posing a very unpredictable danger to the rest of society.
How many times have we heard after a murder (the awful Southport multiple murders) that the murderer had mental problems?
We are not talking about young, pregnant women being locked away, we have moved on from that thank God, we are talking about people with severe mental problems being kept in secure places, where they can be looked after and treated by experienced medical staff, where they are safe and do not pose a problem to society as a whole.

"If this man were one of your work colleagues, would you be happy pussy-footing around him and calling him 'she/her' in case of a massive temper-tantrum?
Would you be happy sharing a changing room with him (if you were, say, a nurse)?"

No, of course no one would be comfortable in a room with someone this distressed, but that has nothing to do with the persons gender orientation - this is someone who is clearly struggling and needs help, and putting this forward as evidence to support hatred of any particular group is really, really poor.

It's not his gender orientation but his sex that is the issue. Men are much bigger and stronger than women: if someone as aggressive and unreasonable as this believes that he's entitled to go into women's private spaces, those women are in physical danger.

Seagulldancing · 23/07/2026 10:10

I don't like the use of police body cam footage in the US at all. There are whole Netflix documentaries told from the point of view of police footage now. I can see why they do it, but its horrible to see people at their very worst and it be spread across the world.

At least they always leave the fruit and veg by the entrance.

I wasn't reading all the replies and actually had to scroll back up to find out what Lidl had to do with it as I thought that was a joke. 🤣

localnotail · 23/07/2026 10:01

While I agree with everyone saying this guy is not all there and his reaction is mad - however, as I said above, isn't it what you are supposed to do with someone who is not all there - agree with them, not contradict them? Like, a crazy violent person kicking off saying they are Napoleon - you are supposed to say "yes, yes you are, lets chill and now lets put these Napoleon bracelets on you and go to the nice Napoleon house" - not contradict them so they get even madder? Though I also think this is what the crazy guy might have expected.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/07/2026 09:58

Do you think men should be able to use women’s spaces @Jo7890123- it’s extremely relevant, because that’s what men like this demand. They are all over social media commenting on how much they resent being told no by women.

lcakethereforeIam · 23/07/2026 09:58

He was dressed like a toddler and behaved like a toddler. From the cold open I'm guessing he'd had an unpleasant interaction with some other people prior to the copper arriving.

Pure speculation but I suspect it's happened before and he'd normally get sympathy and validation from the staff as they're not allowed to taser him. It was his misfortune that the police arrived to investigate a stolen car.

The filming was made available to the public because the American police are obliged to release bodycam footage whether they want to or not.

It reminded me of the trans identifying female attorney who had a tantrum in a courtroom. Then, as now, it seemed performative. Playing up for an audience only they can see. Or something they can relate to their online 'friends' in the aftermath. I'm sorry for him. I hope he can grow up.

Jo7890123 · 23/07/2026 09:55

"If he HAD been a woman, he WOULD have left. I've never hung about screaming for the police when I've been insulted/objectified in public. A common occurence for lots of women."
So no women, ever make a scene in public, that has never happened 🤔😁. You're not making a very good case for your point of view by making stuff up.

You avoided the question. He’s not just “someone this distressed”. He’s a man, and the question is about whether women should have to walk on eggshells to prop up his alternative reality in the workplace/public spaces.

Anyahyacinth · 23/07/2026 09:52

Tinks2026 · 23/07/2026 05:57

Yup. Anybody (regardless of whatever they claim is wrong with them, or even if they actually do have something wrong with them) who reacts like this to simply being correctly sexed - or even being wrongly sexed (which they have not been) is not safe to be allowed out in public. At all. Anywhere.

Now more than ever we need to bring back asylums for anyone who is too dangerous to be allowed to mix with normal people.

I agree.

This person is obviously extremely mentally unwell. I think it’s incredibly wrong, a total breach of privacy and an abuse of position for a police officer to put this on YouTube. I feel sick having watched some of it. This person needs help not mockery.

And you OP - why have you shared it on here? So we can join in mocking a mentally ill person? Shame on you.

I am gender critical, but this has gone way too far for me.

"I think it’s incredibly wrong, a total breach of privacy and an abuse of position for a police officer to put this on YouTube."

The police didn't do this. The bodycam footage was obtained from the police force in question by somebody making a Freedom of Information request.

In the USA, just about every public record can be accessed under either federal or state law. There are some exceptions though. For example bodycam footage will generally be withheld while the criminal case is ongoing or if it is inside somebody's home or the person is under 18 etc.

"...a total breach of privacy..."

I would totally disagree with you here. This happened in a public place (a university I believe). Now, if it had taken place inside this person's home then that would certainly be an invasion of privacy to release it.

"This person needs help not mockery."

Where is the mockery?

"And you OP - why have you shared it on here?"

There is, amongst certain sections of society, the belief that all trans-identifying men are lovely people who wouldn't hurt a fly.

This video allows us to see what happened when one trans-identifying man wasn't indulged in his beliefs.

It took two policemen to deal with him.

I would not want to confront a person like that on my own in a confined area.

"...a mentally ill person"

Is there any actual evidence of this?

If you have a look at the video, he looks like somebody who gets wound up very easily and is not good at controlling his emotions. Whether that makes him "...a mentally ill person" I really don't know.

OneFunBrickNewt · 23/07/2026 09:48

All I saw was an unwell person having some sort of manic episode.
If those are the wrong terms, it's unintentional. The teacher in me thought the officer made a mistake with 'are you threatening me...?' at the start- concentrate on the primary issue etc. But it's easy to say this thousands of miles away behind a computer.

maxslice · 23/07/2026 06:27

Kid can be unhappy about pronouns, but should have just walked away. No reason to stick around if you’re being insulted. Definitely WAY overrated by having a full blown tantrum/psychotic episode. Hope police provided a full psych evaluation and arranged for this clearly disturbed person to get the help they need. And better hair so they don’t look like Cousin It from the Addams Family.

If he HAD been a woman, he WOULD have left. I've never hung about screaming for the police when I've been insulted/objectified in public. A common occurence for lots of women.

localnotail · 23/07/2026 09:36

Why this person is allowed to be out and about when he is clearly very very aggressive? He is clearly prepared to hurt someone for "misgendering" - what if its someone smaller, weaker than him?

In addition to this, this looks to me like a fucking tantrum - I doubt there is much wrong with this person mentally (apart from his fetish or whatever it is makes him think he should be called "she"). He seemed totally normal when led back to the car.

Having said that, and to be fair, if the cop really wanted to diffuse the situation he could have tried calling the guy "she" to see if it calms him down.

How manuy of them are there though- a handful, that get megnified by social media, and then people like you gulp it up like a gospel.
This person clearly suffers from mental health issues where being trans or not doesnt even play a role. It could have been a woman, or a man. Really sad how this is being framed i na 'trans women are deranged and dangerous'.
I use shared facilities frequently, it's really no biggie once you are not a bigot believing every single thing media with an agenda put out there.

Any space with men in it is much more dangerous to women than one without. That’s the hard facts here.

Anyahyacinth · 23/07/2026 09:34

Stifledlife · 23/07/2026 08:32

What I saw was a reasonable officer trying to calm down an hysterical individual with potential to harm others in the vicinity. What I saw was The policeman call on the university clerk to see if he could calm him down. What I saw was an individual beaking all the rules of societal interaction, screaming and threatening. There won't be a lawsuit because the bodycam footage shows a reasonable attempt to manage this person and when it became apparent that this wasn't going to work, the officer warned several times about what was going to happen. There was no mob. the officer called for backup because it took 2 to subdue him. It was reasonable. What would you suggest they could have done?

See the post below yours the mob is on here ..ugly and unkind

Men should not be in women’s spaces. The sense of entitlement, resentment when told no and need for control of others that some people who identify as trans have is not remotely uncommon in that cohort. Society really needs to understand that, because the world doesn’t revolve around them. Other people have rights too.

His privacy should be respected / protected

SomeoneIsWrongOnTheInternet · 23/07/2026 09:32

One thing’s for sure it’s dealing with an incredible level of entitlement. Complete failure to engage with those who have the obligation to keep the peace by law, and instead the phrase ‘I’m right’. Men always believe they’re in the right no matter what they’re doing. Contrast the phrase ‘a woman’s place is in the wrong’.

I am tired of all the onus to deescalate, be kind, etc!

A considerable number. I didn’t actually say “the vast majority”. It’s not safe for unstable men to be in female only spaces where they are going to be challenged by women.

It reminds me of the paedophile prisoner who became aggressive and racist when he overheard nurse Jennifer Melle refer to him as 'she' in her telephone conversation with a Dr to discuss his discharge. It was vital she tell the Dr his sex because discharge would involve the Dr removing a catheter via his penis.

Exactly.
