Cancellation of WRN NI event at Féile festival.

Did anyone catch up with the cancellation of WRN NIs event at Féile and Phobail festivak today?

Apparently it’s ‘anti trans’ except the event was about women’s voices being heard.

JKR offered to fund….

I find it hilarious to see that BBC NI are still filming reports from the pavement outside their building. Sometimes, if they're feeling really artsy, they film on the roof of the BBC building 🙄

On a serious note, it's good to see BBC NI covering this story and I think it was a fair summation of the cancellation.

I think Féile needs to be held to account legally for unlawfully discriminating against WRN because I don't think there's any chance of shaming them for being sexist - sexism is sadly most often the norm in NI.

Féile an Phobail don't even have the courage of their convictions, possibly because they have none, they just caved to the online rent-a-mob crowd.

I'm heartened by the letter from SM also stating that in addition to holding Féile liable for reinstating the event, SM will be seeking legal advice on the liability of Causeway Pride and Paul Flowers and any others implicated in inducing this discrimination.

Women in NI haven't managed to progress as far and as fast as GB groups in reinstating our legal sex-based rights, so any help from SM or JKR is very welcome if it can help us kickstart a debate and a rebalancing of rights here.

Actually, it's an education here finding out WTF is going on in the rest of the UK for this English poster. What's been going on in Scotland, Wales, and NI especially, may not get that much coverage in the press.

Some of you may know WRN NI are bringing a Judical review in Northern Ireland against the Equality Commisson because they don’t know what woman or man means in law (including any use of those words in any statute in NI).

Good on them for not allowing another anti rights group from attending, if you want to run your event you can invite whoever you want.

I am confused I knew feminists were getting money from US right, Also from Christians. I also heard it Big Oil were paying out. Now feminists are getting money from Russia too!
