Transphobic individuals can incite violence on innocent people or preach hate and it’s not against the law but when someone else expresses their free speech it’s against the law.

I’d also say that most of us on here do not agree with most of Ann Widecombe’s views or agree with many of her actions. . But her views on free speech were valid and she did not deserve to be murdered.

You are so keen to score points against GC people but all you’ve scored is an own goal.

Most of us found his tweets objectionable not because of his identity but because of the nastiness of them. My only thought was the mask has slipped and now you’ve shown the world just how unpleasant you are. It showed the double edged nature of free speech- he was free to make those comments and I am equally free to judge his character based on them.

As Maya Angelou said “When somebody shows you who they are believe them…”
