OMG! Never heard of Angel Delight! It was the dessert for us 70s kids!

It was crack for kids, wasn’t it? If I friends to tea, a bowl of butterscotch angel delight and bread and butter was always served for pud. But then I used to take sandwiches to school with ‘sandwich spread’ in - a weird concoction of finely chopped salad veggies mixed in a tangy salad cream that really looked like vomit and probably acted like battery acid on my stomach lining. Loved it though. Not sure they make that any more.

I have never heard of this ‘angel’s delight’ stuff, but it seems like a junket type dessert which relies on rennet. Which is what calves’ digestive systems use to digest milk and is used for cheese making.

We did these experiments in biology in school and they were the tasty ones.

I don’t think he’s commented on it much but what he has said has been vaguely RSOH like all good comedians with a few exceptions. He apparently met up with Graham Linehan (who he worked on IT Crowd and other stuff with) for lunch a few years ago and was spotted by members of Cookd and Bombd who rushed to post about it.

Don’t think his heart’s really in it, unlike Stewart Lee for example. I also think he might be wondering when he’ll be able to take the piss out of it.

Aaw it's not that bad. It was always my husband's favourite. We saw it in a shop some months ago and he bought a packet. Tried to make it with oat milk but that sadly doesn't work, it just remained in liquid form. Anyone in the scientific community able to tell me why? Having said that, he's in the scientific community and he doesn't know why so . . . . .

I thought the butterscotch angel delight was for an Emina.
