What is a “good experience” in a women’s toilet?

I was looking at that thread before you posted about it @MyAmpleSheep . One of the earliest responses was a TIF complaining that 'trans men' were being ignored as usual. Whether the OP was a troll or not, a lot of TIFs continue to be unhappy at they way TIMs treat them, or ignore them. Proof beyond doubt that TIMs continue to be men and TIFs continue to be women, whatever they do with their presentation and bodies.

Here we go again with Things That Have Never Happened between real women, particularly strangers. Fixing each other's bras and giving each other sanitary pads. WTF.

"Helping fix a woman [sic] bra" (as opposed to a "man bra" I suppose) - just how does that come about. You see a woman struggling to adjust her straps or something, and offer to help? No fucking way. (Incidentally I had to adjust my bra straps today while I was out, as they kept slipping, but I did it where absolutely no one could see me. I wouldn't do it by the sinks in the loos.)

Same with sanitary pads/tampons/whatever. If you're caught short you see if there's a machine, or even free ones. If not you use extra loo roll and go and find a shop. You do not ask some stranger if she has any to give you. I've never asked this, I've never been asked this, and I've never seen it happen (once in my life, and only once, I've asked a friend). The idea that I might ask A MAN lurking in the women's toilets if he had any is just ludicrous. Or perhaps he doesn't wait to be asked, he just goes round handing them out. Totally creepy and I'd refuse.

As for compliments - happens occasionally, but pretty rare.

I used the ladies loo in waterloo station yesterday. there was a sticker on the back of the door in the ridiculous baby blue and baby pink 'trans' colours that said "we've been here the whole time"

creepy as fuck. weird, territory marking, boundary pushing, stalkery and fetishy.

so a toilet that some role playing man hasn't put his 'I don't care what you want' stickers all over would be high on my list of good toilet experiences

The powder rooms in large department stores were amazing. Fresh flowers, carpet, dressing tables and assistants!

These things happen less now that I’m older and drunk less, but I still get/give compliments in the ladies.

I went to a club that had mixed sex toilets and it was awful!
I didn’t feel unsafe but I felt uncomfortable and it was not the same vibe.

I didn’t go back to that club for that reason.

I think Zoo's reaction may be as much about the unravelling of Transtopia on Earth (or at least in Western societies) as it is about just hating us. How those men identify in their heads, whether they're nice, or threatening staggeringly disturbed sexual violence and waving swords, whether they're with their dick out wanking in cubicles with the door open or just hoping no one notices them, does not matter.

It's irrelevant. A man's inner life has no bearing on mine at all. If he's in a single sex space it's not single sex, and I can't use it.

I'm not his mum. I don't exist to put him first and meet his needs before mine. I don't edge around the world, making sure he has everything he wants before I think about myself.

I want equality. He wants a space he can use safely? With privacy and dignity? Yes, so do I. And being a woman doesn't mean I get only the crumbs he leaves behind when he's taken what he needs.

And it is pointless to push the disingenuity of 'oh it's only a few who are sexually excited, angry, dangerous and in women's spaces to harass, intimidate and fantasise'. It's a lot. And I don't want to meet or deal with any of them. They can all have a lovely time together in the mixed sex facilities, and so can the women who personally feel it's important to nurture and provide for them.

No one here cares about reality. You only care about reinforcing your own prejudices, and even if forced to confront the fact you're relying on false evidence, you still maintain that it's okay to accept it as fact as long as you want it to be true

to be perfectly honest I would love it NOT to be true that the fragrant Katie D managed to sexually assault children in a women’s loo in Scotland. The two or three times I’ve been in the loo with a TIM have been awful, they’ve stood too close, they’ve hung around too long, they’ve looked at me (presumably to get a reaction). The times when there isn’t a TIM, no one makes eye contact, no one asked for a tampon or a bra adjustment because women don’t need validation or a kink satisfied

Plenty of toilets in the ladies so I don't have to queue, clean, with nappy bins emptied frequently. Working locks are good. Self contained cubicles are good, I don't really want to hear or smell what the person next to me is doing. I've very rarely found the need to talk to a stranger in the ladies, and `hardly ever talk to a friend in there, I'm not 14. I can talk to my friend at the cafe/in the pub, not in the toilet.
I don't want men in there, especially not chatty ones, but mainly because they seem to find it hard to use the toilet neatly. I don't want even a drip of pee on the floor, or on the seat. Maybe there should be separate loos for children too!
