Someone asked how many men are in women's prison in Scotland - the BBC article posted up-thread says this: "There were a total of 19 transgender inmates in Scotland's jails at the end of June 2025".

We don't have a women's prison in Wales, they're sent over the border to England, I wonder if the Senedd can be held responsible for sending women into danger when they do that?

When are they going to remove males from women's prisons in England? As far as I am aware, former fell runner Lauren Jeska, who tried to murder UK Athletics HR head Ralph Knibbs in 2016, is still being held at HM Prison Foston Hall, which is a women's closed category prison.

This murderer has been held in a women's prison for 10 years. He's in prison for luring a gay man to his home and stabbing him 16 times. After conviction he decided to identify as a woman. He also managed to get his criminal record expunged. He's recently been charged with sexually assaulting a woman at the prison (and I think may now be housed elsewhere, while awaiting trial). Presumably the Scottish Prison Service came to the conclusion that he was not an "unreasonable" danger to the female inmates.

Massive thanks to everyone who campaigned! It would be nice to see SPS apologise to those poor women prisoners but I guess that's not how it works. Moving the male prisoners out matters most!

I can't see that any transfers will take place today purely down to the logistics of finding spaces in another prison and arranging transport

The judge in Giggle v Tickle stated that Trans women wear V necks.

This should help narrow down which prisoners need to be transferred.

Are we sure that the transfer will happen today, rather than the work to implement the transfer?

Also about viewing the women's resources and provisions as something men can be entitled to under any circumstances at all, as opposed to being for and about women.

Plus completely missing from mainstream reporting: that this isn't about trans people. It's about women. (You know. Those strange beings who are half the human race?)

The point is opening the door to men of bad faith to victimise women.

(Of which we have had plentiful examples lately. And since forever. These are physical facts. The evidence is everywhere. It doesn't vanish because the ones who suffer are women.)

Maybe mention the men who use every excuse for camouflage whether it's being Scoutmasters or being trans at least once in every discussion?

Because that is the point. (Some) men's appalling and criminal behavior.

If trans people don't like being limited by men's criminality, well, join the club. Women can talk to you about that.
