Religion facilitates the abuse of women and girls the rules never apply in the same way.
Women and girls always the lesser beings .

I suspect they wouldn’t have used deliberately inflammatory, racist and anti-immigration language to cynically exploit these victims to their own political advantage. 🤷‍♀️

These men raped children in the thousands. It was systematic and based on their hatred and animosity towards white women. Over and iver again these girls reported being called 'white bitches' and much, much worse. It's been documented that cousin marriage, tight woven family ties helped facilitate the abuse and kept it from being reported (from females in the family too) This is a problem directly linked to these men being of Pakistani heritage. Their attitudes and expectations of what women should be, directly contributed to making young, vunerable British girls their targets. Being white and vunerable to grooming made them fair game.

These men were imported here.
This isn't a home grown issue.

And yes, of bloody course we have white rapists. We have white grooming gangs. But the sheer number of Pakistani men that did this shows that this kind of behaviour is engrained in Pakistani culture, whereas here at least paedos are shunned and vilified by family and the community.

This did not happen in the Pakistani rape gang situation because they all protect each other within the confines of family.

Just read that. Do you think that if a female reporter was at a 'Restore Britain' rally doing a TV interview and the camera died that would give British men the internal go ahead to mass rape her???
Not one man in that crowd, bar her paid translator/guide and the cameraman tried to help her. They ALL beat and sexually assaulted her.

And you don't think that immigration has anything to do with this??

Hundreds of men in Pakistan investigated over mass sexual assault on woman

Lahore police open case against 300-400 unidentified people captured on video

It is such a heartbreaking thing to read how so many of these girls suffered at the hands of their own relations leaving them so vulnerable.

Yes, unstable family life and the care system feature in so many cases.

I've started looking at it. The language is surprisingly emotive for a professional report (understandable given the subject matter but nevertheless surprising for a report of this nature).

The foreword by Lowe calls for the death penalty, which obviously we currently don't have.

I have a bad feeling about the likelihood of Lowe trading on these terrible experiences for political capital.

The death penalty will never be reintroduced and neither it should be so that's a complete non starter.
Heavy sentences should be handed down though.

Unfortunately it was utterly predictable before the report came out that it would focus on immigration issues. A report which ignores or downplays the existence of white rapists isn't really worth bothering with.

Look where ignoring the race and culture of these evil men got us. It's not going to be ignored again. This is an independent inquiry with testaments from the victims.

I agree. It can take years for deportation of convicted criminals due to appeals with huge legal costs. It's a profitable industry! Should be straight from prison to the plane. This should be made very clear to anyone who is welcomed to the UK.

Straight from court to the plane.

Crikey.

A report on the systematic abuse of thousands of girls and the inability to do anything about it because of the fear of being called 'racist' is not worth bothering about.

You realise that is the very reason nobody did anything? So you are just playing the exact same game? Nice.

Yes these were atrocities.
Yes huge lessons need to be learned
No to prefacing the ‘report’ with: “Britain has an immigration problem”.
No to the cynical use of victims’ testimonies to further political propaganda and whip-up social division.
No to arguably further exploiting these victims.

This report has been written in such a way as to deliberately stir-up racial tension.

It was funded by Restore Britain. Which should ring alarm bells.

Such huge, important reviews need to be non-partisan. I don’t want to read propaganda.

This is the whole left right bullshit in a nutshell.

When it seems to only be those who are 'on the right' sticking up for the poorest, most vulnerable working class girls you think it is those 'on the right' who are the problem?

This wasn't a slip up and mistake and something bad happened. This was decades of institutional 'looking the other way' whilst thousands of girls were abused, gang raped and trafficked across the UK. And murdered but of course they aren't here to tell the tale.

These people should be deported, why would you want them kept in the UK at all? I cannot believe what I am reading here.

I think there are serious issues here and they need to be seriously investigated and dealt with, but having Lowe's name attached instantly makes one suspect there may be other motives here which may have biased the investigation.

He is the only politican that gives his MP's wage to charity.

What 'motives' do you think have 'biased' the investigation when it is the victims' own words being reported on?

Comeondoreen · 17/06/2026 08:22

Children were (and if you’re familiar with people in particular areas, you will know they still are) raped, tortured and abused and in a few cases perhaps even murdered. State institutions were involved in not only turning a blind eye but actively facilitating these gangs to abuse children. Bribes have been taken, policemen have raped children. These girls were not only ignored but cruelly sneered at by the establishment for decades, because of a nasty mix of classism and misogyny.

And now these women are finally being given a platform to speak out, people are choosing to ignore them because they don’t like the politics of the man who enabled them to speak out?

After learning about this scandal and the current government’s lacklustre response to it, I now feel somewhat politically homeless. I don’t know who I’ll vote for next, though it certainly won’t be reform, restore or whoever else. But as a feminist, I think it’s outrageous to disregard the voices of abused women just because the issue is politically inconvenient.

Man, this was harrowing.

I'm from the US, but my country also has a lot of politicians like this man Lowe. If anyone thinks he's sowing decisiveness, he's only successful because no one you might perceive as good faith is don't anything but scolding the people who notice what's going on, some of them even mocking the victims' pain.

I'm sorry I don't understand. Are you not able to or just choosing not to?

I read the death penalty part as referring to those convicted who go on to be deported frim the UK back to Pakistan and other countties.. Pakistan does carry out the death penalty and human rights lawyers here will do everything possible to prevent deportations.

NoisyHiker · 17/06/2026 06:51

I disagree with Restore and Lowe on most things (obviously as a decendant of immigrants). But am fully aware that this inquiry has in some cases been the only way for the voices of so many victims to be heard.

The politicians and media I am usually on the side on have done nothing but mock or try to silence the victims. And this happened before with detransitioners.

We have seen this exact purity test before. Happily ignoring facts and the elephant in the room, because the 'wrong' people were saying it in the 'wrong' messy way.

I won't be making that mistake again. Change and support for the victims of the trans ideology only came about because both sides of the political aisle came together. I will be reading every detail, and doing what I can to help.

DeafLeppard · 17/06/2026 06:49

Who commissioned this?

FemaleAndLearning · 17/06/2026 06:41

Wow bananarama about a report on the mass rape, abuse and torture of young girls that was ignored by all our institutions. An investigation our government refused to do so this had to be crowded funded.

At last the voices of the victims have been heard and the public can hear the true extent of what went on.

There isn't a nice way to say that. It's ugly, it hurts, but it was the reality for these girls. Most never got justice, but now they have been heard.

Their voices matter and if someone wants to say bring back the death penalty or if it causes 'racial tension' who cares. These girls and women are what matters and what we should care about.

No, they would have had their own biases – possibly downplaying or minimising aspects of the issues at hand. Much as, thanks to your biases, you're presenting their motives as being solely a cynical exploitation, rather than a genuinely held viewpoint that you just happen to disagree with.

Everyone has biases, but as long as the facts are presented clearly, it's the reader's job to filter through the information using their own critical thinking skills.

It's disappointing to see people already dredging up reasons to discount the report.

NoNever · 17/06/2026 01:46

It’s interesting that many of the initial comments are about how the report isn’t expressing itself properly, the wrong people are saying it, and how it’s going to be used to “create division” instead of what the report actually says.

All ways to dismiss the content without having to consider it at all.

Where have I heard that before?
