I can only think of the panorama introduction edit which is guilty of not making it clear what a rambling speech he gave that day and nothing more.

Anything else that makes you think the BBC doesn't give sufficient veneration to that racist, sex abuser?

Thats one way of looking at it. Trump's lawyers on the other hand see it differently. Chopping his speech and editing it.

Trump’s legal team said the BBC had “intentionally and maliciously defamed” the president “by distorting and manipulating his speech”.

Yes, there is misinformation from all sides. The BBC should be able to rise above this and not just be pushing a liberal-left, pro-multiculturalism, pro-immigration agenda. They have lost credibility by doing this and enabled people on the right and the far right to fill the void.

Exactly.

I’d welcome your thoughts on the actual salient point about misinformation from all sides though.

And then when the BBC was exposed as having pushed the trans agenda and lied about Trump, you had all these people on the left, including on here, saying “who cares, why are we wasting time on this”. Because if it matters that people you don’t agree with are lying to push their agenda, it matters that people you agree with are lying to push theirs. It’s not a good situation when no one can trust anyone to tell the truth. It’s not difficult.

What lies about Trump?

Why can't we acknowledge we are a Christian country. There are many Islamic countries in the world. Some of them are persecuting Christians right now.

Because only a minority of people follows that middle Eastern import.

I agree with you about the problem of misinformation on social media. But I think a lot of the time it’s fuelled by the authorities being dishonest, like Sophie of Dundee where the police basically lied about what happened and Humza Yusaf decided to fan the flames further. And don’t get me started on BBC Verify.

This is how Tommy Robinson, Lotus Eaters, Rupert Lowe, Farage to some extent and a whole host of influencers around the world can come across as the fearless truth tellers.

Edited

Yes, because those who should be telling the truth, BBC and the rest of the msm, are too busy minimising, denying and deflecting on anything that doesn't suit their agenda. This is why so many people no longer trust them.

I woke up this morning to an American social media personality, Valentina Gomez, whose bio starts with "I follow Jesus Christ" declaring with zero evidence that the child thrown into the crocodile enclosure in the UK was thrown by a Muslim. Her words exactly:
A muslim threw a 3-year old child into a pit full of crocodiles.

Who is this helping?

As far as I'm aware there is absolutely zero evidence to support this.

This woman is often invited to Tommy Robinson events so she'll be followed by that crowd.

So now some British people will wake up, see that, and genuinely believe a Muslim fed a child to crocodiles.

There are real integration issues in this country. I have just finished reading about a Pakistani gang member who called in 20 of his mates to hack a tree surgeon's hand off, for instance. Stabbings are surging all over London and inner cities with black people disproportionately perpetrating and being victim. We clearly have integration issues.
That's all worth talking about. But that's not going to go well when we've got Robinson and Americans screaming "Muslims did it" about everything.

The grooming gang was made up of predominately Pakistani Muslims but was Islam driving force? I'm not sold. There are similar Sikh gangs operating in Canada, there was the Sicilian Catholic mafia in America. Was Catholicism behind them turning New York into a blood bath?

I think it's more likely that these are ethnic and clan dynamics of people who have failed to integrate for reasons that need exploring.

If anyone is interested I can't across a piece written by a British Asian guy, Sharjeel Ashraf, specifically on South Asian non-integration. He says theres basically a problem that runs all across the south Asian community and they are clannish, stick to in-group hiring, organised crime, lots of hostility to Britain, etc, regardless of religion. I'll add the link.

From where I stand it looks like Tommy Robinson has basically exported a narrative to American audiences that we're mid-civil-war with Muslims and some of them are running with it and its creating a hysterical feedback loop.

I don't feel like I'm in a civil war. I don't feel terrified when I see a woman in hijab. Mother Mary covered her hair.
Isn't Robinson always banging on about everyone becoming Christian again? Next time you see a hijab Robinson, that's how Mother Mary would've covered.

No group is without its baggage. It seems ours includes having given the world OnlyFans. Pakistan has given us grooming gangs. According to the Internet that has to mean every Pakistani is a rapist and every British woman is a wh#re.

Can we not have sensible conversations anymore that actually protect people so tree surgeons don't get hacked up by gangs, there aren't teens roaming around with knives in their pants, girls don't get raped by grooming networks and women don't get their head coverings ripped off in the street.

I thought I lived in Britain!

Why do you want to nuke the UK ?

I keep reading from Americans that they want to nuke and invade us.

??? Crazy US-UK things going on.

LemonadeHandstand · 20/06/2026 09:32

Why aren't we holding accountable the idiots who thought it was a brilliant idea to drop a sexually repressed, rigidly religious, dirt-poor community into the middle of a loose, ungoverned, unprotected, equally broke one?

and why isn't that question being asked more often, instead of the blame being passed back and forth between the two groups themselves?

What did we expect them to integrate into?

TheGreatDownandOut · 20/06/2026 08:27

Wow my post got deleted. Didn’t contain any personal attacks, just absolute outrage at how little people care about this report and are falling over themselves to debunk it rather than being horrified. I had dozens of likes on that post. Talk about people burying their head in the sand.

this story in the news today after reading the victim statements screams groooming victim to me.
the report keeps referring to her ‘boyfriend’.
I don’t think a 41 year old Muslim having a 16-19 year old girlfriend he beat and somehow she was pregnant with someone else’s child add up to me!
surely this is a grooming coverup

I've started looking at it. The language is surprisingly emotive for a professional report (understandable given the subject matter but nevertheless surprising for a report of this nature).

The foreword by Lowe calls for the death penalty, which obviously we currently don't have.

I have a bad feeling about the likelihood of Lowe trading on these terrible experiences for political capital.

Is that better or worse than the bad feeling you should have about this Labour government dismissing, minimising, prevaricating and ultimately failing to carry out a fair and thorough public inquiry in order to protect their own arses and for the sake of 'social cohesion'?

The BBC would do anything to bury this story.

Have they said anything at all?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/06/2026 14:38

Rupert Lowe was interviewed in Makerfield last night waiting for the count, which I caught the tail end of, he challenged Laura Kuenssenberg (sp?) that the BBC hadn’t reported on it or the issue, and she said they had covered it adequately which is clearly bollocks.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/06/2026 10:32

Did you actually grasp the point being made? Whataboutery is silly and deflects from the real issues. This is a report with a narrow focus, rightly or wrongly. Putting aside the political element. Sometimes, due to resources or other factors, investigations need to be precise in their scope and parameters. This particular criminal phenomenon has been dismissed, handwaved away and swept under the carpet for decades. That time is up.

Agree, I hope the defeat of Reform and Restore at Makerfield doesn't enable our ruling class to turn a blind eye to the grooming gangs all over again. There's nothing they want more than to sweep this under the carpet again.

The woke BBC are utterly biased they need to be de funded. Laura K and Fiona Bruce are shameful!

Their reporting is skewed beyond belief.

BBC is full of lefties and some …not a credible news source and hasn’t been for a long time. It’s like living in a communism controlled state the way they report.

It came out this week that they planted illegal migrants on Question Time and they were coached prior to the show on how to answer . Not a surprise at all it was so obvious they were plants and reading off their phones and had ear phones in telling them what to say …then they got them to ask Zia Yusuf a question about deportations.

it’s funny if it wasn’t so pathetic.

Same last night they said a 3 year old ended up in a Crocodile pit, nope he was thrown in no confusion he didn’t just end up in there. They down play constantly and inaccurately the reporting is a joke.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/06/2026 15:47

I think this would be responsible, and maybe defuse tensions. It’s not going to look good if they ignore it all.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/06/2026 15:46

I agree. I’d settle for an even handed fact check, where they make clear that yes 250k figure has been extrapolated but that the issue is still a grave problem and an indictment on multiple successive governments, police and local authorities.
