Nor are you.

Do you think that white supremacist Steve Laws, white supremacist Sam Wilkes, or white supremacist Jared Taylor - all members in good standing of Restore Britain - are advocates of women's safety?

You're not answering.

Do you think that Sammy Woodhouse being photographed as a keynote speaker at a fascist knees-up serves the interests of the survivor community?

Nor are you.

Do you think it was good optics for Sammy Woodhouse to be a featured speaker at a white nationalist conference? Do you concede that this possibly undermines her credibility?

The little detail about "Chloe's" social worker just wanting her to play the part of a sexually exploited child on Emmerdale is particularly... I can't think of a word to describe it. Obscene?

I meant to comment on this earlier, when I read the report, but I got distracted. Yes, it is obscene.

SionnachRuadh · 17/06/2026 20:30

Who made the comment not even human? It's hard to follow who it is you are commenting on. Was this on X?

It's not hard to follow if you scroll up one or two posts.

Do you have any comment on the antisemitic filth being directed towards Donna by Rupert Lowe supporters?

SionnachRuadh · 17/06/2026 20:28

I might also add, if we're talking about ruined lives - and women reliving extremely traumatic experiences for the purposes of your report - it's not great optics to have the unqualified kids who put the report together grinning like Cheshire cats when they hit publish

you're not even human as far as I'm concerned

As I said upthread, go over to X and check out Donna Rachel, independent councillor in Shropshire. She's got some expertise in this area, and is nobody's idea of a woke lefty.

Some people like Donna; some don't. There's a post in this thread slagging her off. YMMV.

Yesterday she pointed out, in some detail, the methodological problems with this report.

For the past 24 hours she's been getting a lot of critical comments from Lowe cultists, beginning with "kike bitch" and getting more offensive from there.

I'm not interested in hearing not even human as a rejoinder when Lowe tolerates open fascists in his organisation.

mrshoho · 17/06/2026 20:20

Deflection tactics. Happens quite often. Any cause supported by right wing parties is so quickly dismissed. Why can't we focus on the scandal that is the muslim Pakistani rape gangs that have abused thousands of children under the noses of all political parties, governments, state authorities and police forces. Ruined lives, murdered and tortured.

Talking of force teaming we've had SNP/Rainbow Greens, Green Party/Ultra Islamic political leaders. It's far from an exclusive tactic of the right wing.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/06/2026 20:15

I agree, but I guess some people on the left or centre who do support action fondly imagine that this useless government is going to do something.

Jmaho · 17/06/2026 20:13

I read the report. Very tough read. Not quite as tough as some of the comments on this thread though.
Blows my mind that women can think the way they do. Women who are in many circumstances raising daughters.
My take away is that anyone considered right wing is far far worse than anybody else. Even child rapists.
Every single person who reads this report should be shocked and angry and want there to be concequences and massive change.
If you read it and basically decide who gives a shit because it's linked to Restore, you're not even human as far as I'm concerned

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/06/2026 20:13

FWIW I do think Lowe cares about these women, at least as much if not more than many people on the left do. As I said. He has his agenda and the sweep it under the carpet types have their own.

They crowdfunded the best part of a million quid for this thing, and I don't know where the money was spent.

Regardless, I know that Rupert Lowe's slogan is "I don't care", but if he'd been willing to listen to some basic comms advice, I could have given him a few tips to make his report more credible. Nothing too fancy, just common sense tips like:

  • Have some terms of reference, and maybe a research methodology.
  • Get some experts involved. I know lawyers are expensive, but you've got enough money in the pot for one. Think about getting in a criminologist or statistician. PhD researchers can be surprisingly good value for money.
  • Don't hand over the report to be written by Lotus Munchers podcasters and allow them to stuff it full of political rhetoric about capital punishment and the British Nationality Act 1948.
  • Try to have at least one woman with editorial oversight.
  • Get your report sense checked by an editor so it doesn't have absurdities like referring to girls being "trafficked across county lines", which just sounds like it was written by someone who's watched too many American TV dramas and doesn't know what county lines are in a UK context.
  • Don't launch your political party five hours after you've concluded the inquiry hearings.
  • Don't publish your report two days before a high-profile by-election.
  • Don't allow your report to credit Tommy Robinson as a whistleblower.
  • Maybe suggest to Sammy Woodhouse that it wasn't a great idea to travel to Portugal to be a star speaker at a conference full of open white nationalists, and organised by Martin Sellner, an Austrian neo-nazi permanently banned from the UK, who has also been photographed hobnobbing with Restore policy chief Harrison Pitt (the main author of the report).

Some very basic due diligence would have made this much less easy to dismiss.

Feel free to disagree if you like.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/06/2026 20:11

It’s possible both to support the victim testimonies and the bravery of these women in telling their harrowing stories, and be cynical about the motivations of Rupert Lowe. I don’t like the idea that people think they can handwave it all away because of Lowe.

BendoftheBeginning · 17/06/2026 20:09

NoNever · 17/06/2026 01:46

It’s interesting that many of the initial comments are about how the report isn’t expressing itself properly, the wrong people are saying it, and how it’s going to be used to “create division” instead of what the report actually says.

All ways to dismiss the content without having to consider it at all.

Where have I heard that before?

From GC Feminists, and we were right.

It’s disgusting the way he’s using what happened to those women to boost his career and call for the death penalty. He’s making their trauma all about him, just as the TRAs force teamed gay rights and tried to force team feminism to let men I to women’s sports.

We won’t be fooled.

I stopped reading as it felt like blatant propaganda. It is a shame as I feel there will be many more like me.

Who lack critical thinking skills?

So you think the testimony of women and children was what made up?

Do you understand what political popaganda means?

The truth may make you feel uncomfortable,it doesn't make it any less true.

Jmaho · 17/06/2026 20:07

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 17/06/2026 09:57

I’m not reading anything that Lowe is associated with. The last thing his mob of supporters care about is women’s rights. It’s just a vehicle for racism.

Pathetic response

SionnachRuadh · 17/06/2026 20:06

FernFaery · 17/06/2026 19:55

Can’t you comment on the content of the report rather than its writer? Surely if it’s all absolute nonsense you should easily be able to swiftly destroy it?

Rupert Lowe didn't write the report. Its main author is a young man called Harrison Pitt, who is big mates with Austrian neo-nazi activist Martin Sellner.

I have commented upthread on the content of the report. You can scroll up if you like.

Appalonia · 17/06/2026 20:01

It's pretty ironic that the discussion on AIBU is more reasonable and VICTIM FOCUSSED than on a bloody FEMINIST board. My God, so many of you are still ( even after the left have shown us that they don't give a shit about women's rights, the way they've wholeheartedly supported trans ideology ) so blindly supporting ' The Left', that you cannot see what's in front of your noses.

I used to be very left wing, but there's nothing that they stand for that I can relate to right now. They certainly are not the party of the working class any more. They're authoritarian, anti women and personally I'd rather have Rupert Lowe, a man who actually DID something to highlight this atrocity against white, working class girls than Keir Starmer who just want to shut down all debate on the issues currently facing the UK.

The threat to the UK right now is NOT the mythical ' far right', and I fear we are sleepwalking into something much more sinister...
