My response to cross dressing

I have seen on here some resentful remarks about crossdressing, not just from males as I would expect, but from females as well. To be fair men have had to accept women cross dressing for decades now and that is supposed to be totally OK seeing women living in jeans, leggings, shorts, sports trousers, joggers etc. Personally I grew up seeing women wearing skirts and dresses when they went out shopping, to a pub restaurant or cafe and just in ordinary everyday life. They looked great then and I always loved those clothes which is why I now prefer to dress in skirts and dresses myself. I love feeling the flowing materials (nothing sexual) and wearing the very kind of clothes that I wish today`s women would wear themselves. Give me a chiffon skirt or dress and a lovely lacey petticoat (waist slip or full slip) and I feel totally happy and more natural than ever.

Perhaps we should move our interests to the style section for advice😁

No need. I've put my usual clothes back on and I'm sure you'll agree I look absolutely amazing.

Oh nooooooo! I looked up remoska and now I'm stuck on the Lakeland site.

I'm incapable of not seeing some wee gadget that I MUST have and then buying it and not using it and leaving it to languish in a press, unused and unloved.

Having said that, I couldn't do without the Lakeland Dry Soon heated airer - bloody love that thing.

I also have that heated airer. One of the few UK plugged things I brought with me to France.

The Remoska is a fantastic low energy cooking appliance that we still use 2-3 times a week. I also brought it with me to France. Just chuck everything in and in 1 hour everything is done.

'tes putains de cuillères' sounds even better than 'your fucking spoons', doesn't it?😂

Parfait! 'Pour tes putains de cullières'. Merci.

Can we cover the piano legs with knee high socks?

I went to bed and missed this 😂
What are these knee high socks of which you speak? Will they disguise the legginess of the piano legs or are they close fitting?
Furbelows and flounces are absolutely necessary to ensure that no shape is discernible, we don't want anyone thinking the piano is a complete baggage. The piano won't be enjoying it at all, promise.

Lately I have been very cross dressing indeed, layers on, layers of, bluddy weather.

Inspired by @Hedgehogforshort clothing choices resulting in spontaneous rogering by Mr Hedgehogforshort after their tea, I thought I'd try my luck with the postman.

However, I didn't have any knee high socks so substituted for pink and white striped legwarmers.

I also didn't have anything to put in bunches, so stuck on a wig

Unfortunately those slight changes appear to have had the effect of scaring the shit out of the postie.

I thought I looked super cute. Turns out I could probably scare the dead.

Or maybe I should have opened the door with a bowl of veggie spaghetti bolognaise in my hands.

That will be it. I didn't offer food whilst impeccably dressed in my best roger me senseless outfit.

The Post Office have since rung me and informed me they will be delivering my parcels to a parcel drop shop from now on, and I'm not allowed within 100 feet of a postal worker.

The Richmond vegetarian sausages are supposed to be indistinguishable from meat ones, but in my mind, if you don’t want to eat meat then why would you want to eat something that is exactly like meat?

Leaving aside the amount of actual meat in 'meat' sausages😏, I'm guessing that the 'indistinguishable' claim is due to Richmond using their same trademark spice 'signature' in both meat and meat-free sausages.

There are lots of reasons for people not to want to eat meat, from moral/ethical beliefs about not killing and eating the flesh of animals, to concerns about the environmental impact of farming/ meat production.

Making non-meat products look and allegedly taste like meat products makes it easier for people who like eating meat but have some concerns about it to switch to alternatives.

People like me who are vegetarians for ethical reasons don't need these products to look/taste like meat. We aren't the target clientele, but I buy them sometimes because they are convenient.

Clonakilty veggie white pudding is lovelySmile

Careful. You'll bring PPW over to tell us that he does exactly the same at Lakeland, and that proves he's a woman.

🤣

BettyBooper · 08/06/2026 08:11

Yeah.

I used to be all 'wear what you want! It's fine! It's just clothes!'

But .... Nah. I was kidding myself.

No bloke wears a bra without there being a sexual element to it. That's the truth. 🤷

I bloody loved the mushroom double Swiss. I've not been in a Burger King for decades though. I don't think they do them anymore.

I used to really like the BK bean burger

I have the flu or something similar and my OH is in recovery after a biopsy so I just did potatoes, onions and carrot in the remoska for lunch and had that with some gravy for lunch. It was bloody gorgeous.

I have no 7 on top, no 4 on back and sides and was wearing my gingham pinny as I felt better earlier and wanted my make my OH his own spoon rest, with the words 'put your fucking spoons here, insert hilarious descriptive insult, thanks' so just trying to get the translation into french right.

Not sexually mind. Actual spoons.
