It's been fascinating to watch the craziness of zoo's posts gradually ramp up over the last couple of days. I fear for their blood pressure.

I disagree. Cameras could have been installed, which happened nearby to where I live. Plus, that setup is putting people with seizures at risk, like my daughter. Fully enclosed cubicles are not the solution.

Clearly the important thing to do when complaining is to also send a copy to translucent, so they don't need to go through the tedious effort of all those FoIs.

The changing cubicles at our local pool had to have cage things fitted over the tops because so many men were climbing up to watch women and children getting changed

I suppose men experience fewer of these kinds of incidents though, so the less empathetic ones, like this poster, struggle to understand how women feel in such situations

Your arrogance is astounding. Would you say that to your child, your sister, your friend, your mother? Just disbelieve them because you feel like it? I feel like there are too many posters this week who just disbelieve women's experiences because they can, because they want to, because it hasn't happened to them personally.

Many victims are too shocked to report it. Or they just want to get away. Or they think they won't be believed - just like your reaction here, in fact. Way to prove a point.

The last time I was in my local pool with DD, getting changed in an open-ceiling cubicle in the mixed sex area, there were teenage boys recording people getting changed on their phones.

No one believes that happend.

My best friend and I used to go swimming every single Monday night after work. Our council decided to be 'inclusive' and make the changing rooms unisex. One evening we were changing after swimming and heard a strange noise. A man had squeezed his head under the gap and was audibly pleasuring himself while watching us undress.

We were so shocked we just got dressed and left. We never went back. We never complained. In retrospect we're lucky he had his hands full so he wasn't filming us and uploading it to the internet.

But the point is that when women are frightened we generally just want to get away. We don't complain. We have been taught not to make a fuss. That doesn't mean that it hasn't changed out lives forever.

Yes, well, the Lib Dems claimed that nobody had raised the question of males in female toilets "on the doorstep" a few years ago. To be fair, our canvasser scuttled away from the doorstep as fast as possible once I started mentioning it, possibly with fingers in his ears.

There's an informal policy (not just in councils) of having a wide discretion about what qualifies as a complaint. Some can be reclassified as "feedback" and never make the stats.

Although perhaps it was the nature of my complaint coming from a “concerned about protecting single sex spaces” angle, and maybe the person running the inbox is a trans ally.
