Should breast implants for males be made illegal?

Having learned more about the sexual desires of males, AGP in particular. I now think that as women we have to push back and stop this madness. We live in a world where females are vulnerable to sexual assault by males-we are literally hunted by them. Combined with the safeguarding of children aspect....all parents I know explain to young children that if you get lost, look for a lady to help you, preferably another Mummy....I know men can wear a padded bra to achieve the look, but still the thought of males getting sexual pleasure by having fake boobs & their male tackle-just seems wrong. Am I alone in thinking this? Looking at society as a whole, I can't see any benefit to women and children of men being allowed to get silicone breast implants.....

The thought that there would be enough males having implants that any lost kids would confuse them as being women and then that person wanting to harm that child … the chances must be infinitesimal.

To be honest, just through pure demographics, the risk is probably larger that they will approach a genuine lady who wishes to do them harm, female predators are rare but they're not non-existent.

Only if you make them illegal for women also. If someone wants to pay to have silicone implanted in their body, what harm does that do? Their money, their body.

Well, you could also say that about the horrendous ‘bottom surgery’ so graphically described above, in making a neo-vagina out of an inverted penis.
It is beyond sense to me that any doctor (First, do no harm) could agree to perform that operation on a clearly disturbed individual.
From what I have read the physical results are often unsatisfactory for the patient and even if they are, do not necessarily address the underlying issues.

I admit I don’t know exactly which gender-affirming modifications are available on the NHS. But if some are, what difference does it make? They are all still cosmetic surgeries at best, extreme body-modifications at worst. And I would include in that the the body modifications that result from taking cross-sex hormones.

Would tongue-splitting be legal if carried out by a surgeon? What makes some cosmetic surgeries legal and some not? When is chopping up a healthy person to fulfill their desire to look different acceptable and when is it GBH? How do you define these parameters in law? I don’t want blokes breasting boobily down the stairs in breathless exultation as they express their kink in front of unconsenting women and children. But it’s still their body to choose what they do to it.

I just cannot see the benefit and imagine it causes more confusion for that individual to look in the mirror and see male genitals down below, female up top....I honestly don't see it as helping them.

So called "Chicks with dicks" is a porn genre. Some men fetishise & get turned on by the image of breasts up top & penis down below either for themselves or for other men.

Yup Chicks with dicks-what the men want the men get! Never mind the implications for the rest of society....women and children have to exist alongside these chicks with dicks....

Why do doctors disagree when women say they need bigger breasts to look and feel more womanly? Why do men get to have this procedure on the NHS, but not women?

It’s a whole different question, but relevant. Gender-affirming surgery is cosmetic, especially procedures which affirm a gender identity incongruent with the person’s sex, and this should not be available on the NHS. But unless these medically un-necessary procedures are reclassified as causing bodily harm, you cannot take away people’s body autonomy. Not even because it makes you uncomfortable or enables a man to get his sexual kicks.

Men don't get this procedure on the NHS as several people have already pointed out.

If someone has anorexia, we don't affirm their delusion-we help them get better. We recognise they are suffering and need therapy to get better.
Why, when a man claims he's a woman and needs breasts why do Drs agree?

It isn't equivalent. Someone with anorexia is at risk of death if they persist, whereas someone who wants to have breast surgery isn't.

To be blunt, it's irrelevant if you personally don't see the benefit, people don't have to check with you before they make decisions about their own bodies.

It's the same question for all plastic surgery.

But on a different note, 1% of breast cancer cases are men. They can have reconstructive surgery too, this proposal would also ban that?

This cannot be a serious suggestion

Orangemintcream · 31/05/2026 14:47

No. I support their right to modify their own body if they so wish.

I just don’t believe the NHS should pay for it.

lornad00m · 31/05/2026 14:36

Illegal? No. On the NHS? No.

Do what you like with your money and your body. Just don't claim implants make you a biological woman and demand access to women's sex-based rights and privileges.

If anyone wants them, for cosmetic reasons, as long as they pay for them - knock themselves out.

....

running for a bus?

Whatchamacallitt · 31/05/2026 14:26

I don't like it but don't think it's right to exert that level of control over other people's bodies.

I cannot believe this is even figuring on your radar.

HenriettaSwanLeavitt · 31/05/2026 14:13

I think that there is a point at which the individual's right to modify their body how they please comes up against the rights of others not to be subjected to deception. I have no ready made answer for where to draw the line though.

Weekmindedfool · 31/05/2026 13:53

Women punching down on men 🤔

I think it is actually true that men are a minority, just barely. (grin)

EssexLounger · 31/05/2026 13:51

This completely misses the main argument about the conflict between women's rights and trans rights.

The issue with trans rights is when it comes into conflict with the rights of everyone else, mainly women's rights in regards to sex-segregation (changing rooms, women's sports etc), then more generic rights with enforced language (pronouns etc).

A man getting breast implants isn't impacting the rights of others. But a man claiming a female identity (and implants aren't required) and going into female-only spaces is impacting on the safety of women.

Why not mind your business and leave other adults alone to make their own decisions? It doesn’t actually affect you at all. Why don’t you volunteer at a women’s shelter or baby bank if you want to make a positive impact, instead of punching down at minorities based on entirely fictional scenarios

oh the hyperbole - it hurts us.
This is a post asking for opinions. Not genocide.

SockPlant · 31/05/2026 12:26

if people go private? i have no issue with anyone having body modifications

There are caveats: such as they must sign documentation to say that they acknowledge that it is body modification and doesn't change their sex/species.
