Whatever you think about the short comings Christianity, my point here is to explain how it conflicts with gender critical views & other exclusionary ideologies. It's a statement about equality & if you knew anything about Christianity you would know that.

Don't be ridiculous, Paul didn't believe in the equality of men and women. He was as more or less misogynistic as every man was at that time, depending on the social mores of whichever society they lived within.

And Christianity might have given women a glimpse of equality, as Christ tried to impart to us, but the Church, in its various guises, hasn't offered women anything like equality until very recent times.

Elevating a small subsection of men who think they are women above actual women is not equality. Our God-given equality has not actually panned out as well as Christ might have wished for, because of patriarchy. Our actual equality comes from secular law. Thanks be to God, you might say, we were given our own brains and the wherewithal to fight patriarchy, misogyny, and injustice, despite the Church.

And this particular church in Sunderland is perpetuating misogyny and inequality, for its own, unknown purposes, not in order to be Christian.

And, by the way, breaking the law at the same time.
