He writes a very short post backing trans rights in a way that shows that he hasn't got a clue about the issue and can't be arsed to learn. He can't pass up a chance to show he's on the right side of history, especially when it costs him nothing (not even time to understand the issue or issue a proper statement) and can pass all the consequences onto women.

But he makes sure to support The Good Law Project, run by another glib, brogressive grifter. I assume he's hoping for mutual back-scratching from Jolyon.

Zach P reminds of some student drama teacher who thought he would be a hit with kids but in reality they all thought he was a bit of prat. There was some article in the Economist (I think) about how many thousands of posts he’d made or liked. A massive percentage of the ones he liked were those praising himself. As for the trans stuff I always get the impression that as soon as something becomes less fashionable they just move on to the next. Climate change, BLM, trans and more recently Israel Palestine - next year it will be something different again.

I think he means the high court judgement on the interim guidance.

Also it is put up or shut up time. Are the Greens going to try an attempt to stop the code in the Commons or the Lords? Is this just words or will they do something?

The code is so bad then try to stop it. Explain why women's rights don't matter on record.

Green legislators have done this before. Natalie Bennett did a Fatal Motion against the Public Order Act SI earlier this year in the Lords. See here:

The funniest bit in this line is not the Supreme Court mixup with the High Court.

It is the idea that the GLP are going to help the Trans activist cause.

As we all know GLP are huge assets for the pro-women side as they keep losing cases and making case law for our position stronger see the recent victory against the NHS for one example of this. Moreover it is pretty clear the GLP attempt to challenge the SC decision has more or less fallen apart as was obviously going to happen.

GLP just got paid huge amounts to shuffle papers and post more fundraisers.

'Scared and exhausted' - more hyperbole. It feels manipulative and cynical.

They have to keep the panic levels high, with the false threats of oppression, marginalisation, violence, days of remembrance when no-ne has died, annihilation, literal genocide.
That way they keep the trans community in a constant state of hypervigilance about things that never happen.

A community under threat of oppression and violence has the right to defend itself by any means necessary, right? So that's how to 'justify' shouting down opponents and smashing windows and hitting women - it's self defence, isn't it?

I'm sure lots of transpeople see through that hyperbole and know it doesn't have a basis in reality. But obviously many buy into it, possibly the younger and more vulnerable ones? and lots of them will be out tomorrow in Parliament Square.

He can say whatever he likes about the code, his time is already passed. He achieved peak popularity on about day three of his reign. Before anyone had heard him say anything. He's pretty much a spent force now.

I also noticed how little attention is paid to the small voices of posters who are obviously really struggling with mental health issues - maybe not sure they're trans, not sure they even want to be trans, don't know how to meet other trans/talk to people, sometimes openly saying they're autistic. In short, struggling and lost. And they're ignored mostly, the popular transreddit threads are the angry ones.

Just had a trawl through. They seem to be upset about pretty much everyone. BBC, Andy Burnham, Starmer, Phillipson, all newspapers, black women (yes a post entitled 'Black women and transphobia'), The Samaritans (its statement not aggressive enough), - you just lose count of who they're angry with.

In all honesty, I should think it is exhausting simply trying to pretend, day in and day out, year after year, that you are someone you are not.

I see there's going to be a 'Trans Emergency' demo tomorrow in Parliament Sq because trans rights are under attack. I bet it will be big and noisy and full of totally irrational banners and placards aimed at keeping up the panic levels, and someone will do something anti-social and/or destructive.
