'Scared and exhausted' - more hyperbole. It feels manipulative and cynical.

They have to keep the panic levels high, with the false threats of oppression, marginalisation, violence, days of remembrance when no-ne has died, annihilation, literal genocide.
That way they keep the trans community in a constant state of hypervigilance about things that never happen.

A community under threat of oppression and violence has the right to defend itself by any means necessary, right? So that's how to 'justify' shouting down opponents and smashing windows and hitting women - it's self defence, isn't it?
Because we're scared and exhausted and threatened with genocide.

I'm sure lots of transpeople see through that hyperbole and know it doesn't have a basis in reality. But obviously many buy into it, possibly the younger and more vulnerable ones? and lots of them will be out tomorrow in Parliament Square.

I am often struck by the number of the mental health posts and it often worries me how little support these people are getting. I strongly strongly believe that they should be receiving high-quality mental health support in the round that enables them to deal with the other comorbidities that they clearly have - so often autism often cases of abuse et cetera they are cry for help and they are people who deserve help and they don’t seem to be getting it

I think this protest is going to send a very clear message that these men should NEVER be let near women’s spaces.

The level of crudity in those lines is absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe people would stand there holding them.

Going by this poster, I can guess what’s going to be out & I’m glad I’m not going.

I helped to organise an event in Parliament Square once, & getting permission / liaising with the police was complicated & involved. I bet the TRAs simply get on with it on the assumption that nobody’s going to stop them.

I also noticed how little attention is paid to the small voices of posters who are obviously really struggling with mental health issues - maybe not sure they're trans, not sure they even want to be trans, don't know how to meet other trans/talk to people, sometimes openly saying they're autistic. In short, struggling and lost. And they're ignored mostly, the popular transreddit threads are the angry ones.

And bottles of urine coming by the looks of things, do they have any other ideas?

There was some article in the Economist (I think) about how many thousands of posts he’d made or liked. A massive percentage of the ones he liked were those praising himself. As for the trans stuff I always get the impression that as soon as something becomes less fashionable they just move on to the next. Climate change, BLM, trans and more recently Israel Palestine - next year it will be something different again.

Also it is put up or shut up time. Are the Greens going to try an attempt to stop the code in the Commons or the Lords? Is this just words or will they do something?

"5.10 If there is no resolution within 40 days by either House moving a fatal prayer motion against the draft Code, the EHRC may “issue” the Code under section 14(8)"

The code is so bad then try to stop it. Explain why women's rights don't matter on record.

Green legislators have done this before. Natalie Bennett did a Fatal Motion against the Public Order Act SI earlier this year in the Lords. See here:

Any Fatal Motion will fail obviously. However more open debate is great for our side. Lets see who actually believes in human biology.
