Anyone know if there is a reverse de-transition process?

Legally how do you correct the record as it were legally?

I think Keira Bell said that the only way to do this is to go through the whole gender recognition process again in reverse. So I assume the detransitioner has to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria related to their transitioned state.

There doesn't seem to be a way to just cancel the GRC as an error and go back to their original identity. This is a fault with the gender recognition process which doesn't allow for people making mistakes. The drafters of the legislation must have been believers in "true trans".

sickofsixseven · 17/05/2026 09:58

I think it's more likely that all this is just a complete fantasy of someone who developed a trans identity as an adult.

Yep. Poster mentioned being in their 30s at least, and from the wording it could be interpreted that they are now older than that. Were they really giving puberty blockers and cross sex hormones to kids that long ago? Doubtful

The majority of trans people don't have a GRC so can just change their name and correct the sex markers on their documents. You don't need a GRC to change the sex marker on passports/driving licences.

I know that - but say if you changed your birth certificate to Skye Special Lady and your birth sex to female.

That’s a big legal gap. I know it’s wasn’t drafted as would offend trans identified people but there was always likely to be people who figured out cos play wouldn’t alleviate their mental issues.

I wonder how people manage it - there must be a way.

You can’t be Raven Rainbow Sprinkles forever if you catch yourself on surely?

There's no process to reverse a GRC

Good old Guardian, squeezing in a pro-gender affirming care mother at the end and pushing the suicide narrative. God I hate that paper.
It is a story about detransition. Why couldn't they interview a detransitioner?

Shedmistress · 17/05/2026 09:15

There is no contrition, they have been forced down this road and in no way would I trust them to 'detransition' anyone, knowing the lies and fraud that they have been spinning for years.

SexRealistic · 17/05/2026 09:13

The hospital won’t be contrite - the collusion of a cult is difficult to come out of.

They will do good work if they see the need I’m sure.

Then you'll be thrilled to hear osteoporosis isn't a side effect of taking gender affirming hormones, nor is there any reason it would be, since sex hormones protect bone health.

Except research and the experiences of those who do have osteoporosis because if gender affirming 'care'

We seem to have forgotten about the detransitioners.

Of course, there’s a reason why they are a subject carefully avoided by some. They give the lie to the fantasy construct that is genderism.

Which is why it is best to ignore the confused male posters when they come here.

borntobequiet · 17/05/2026 08:00

After beginning oestrogen. I went from 4’10” and 80 lbs to 5’5” and 110 lbs in two years.

The transwoman I saw yesterday must have been on lots of oestrogen, then, because once he stood up I saw he was approximately 6’ 4” (and totally male physique apart from the incongruous looking breasts). Initially he was sitting down (in the hairdresser’s) but I clocked him immediately. No problem, it’s a unisex salon and he seemed perfectly pleasant, but very noticeable.

GingerBeverage · 17/05/2026 06:38

This does not sound like contrition:

“Today, we made the difficult decision to settle with the Texas Attorney General and the Department of Justice, closing a chapter that has been wrought with falsehoods and distractions,” the hospital said in a statement. “To be clear — we are settling to protect our resources from endless and costly litigation. This settlement will allow us to redirect those precious resources to focus on the life-saving care and groundbreaking discoveries of our exceptional clinicians and scientists.”
In response to questions from NBC News about the type of care the clinic will provide, a spokesperson for the hospital said, “The detransition clinic will formalize the supportive, multidisciplinary services we already deliver to all patients who need our care.”
It’s unclear who will lead or staff the clinic. The hospital declined to provide details about the terminated employees, saying, “Our top priority throughout this settlement discussion was around protecting our physicians.”

Biological sex isnt a "belief", its a fact. Its delusional to think otherwise. It's impossible for humans to change sex. Some people might find that hard to take, but its the truth. Indulging these delusions is what has led to this mess of children being irreversibly damaged because they are going through a phase and were sold a complete lie.

It's always trans women trying to define and take over womanhood too. I've yet to see a trans man try to claim that they are literally men and have real testicles etc. In fact, many of them still go on to use their female bodies to give birth. That must really make the delusional reality deniers seethe with jealousy.

Edited

Well since trans men are men - then men can give birth.

And trans women used to be men so they must be able to give birth.

That follows trans fantasy logic. 🧐

"hypogonadism" has been used since I transitioned.

Sorry, this was meant to be a response to @Shedmistress @ 21:31

How is this any response to my post about the lies and fraud that this hospital were committing?

This poster has previously said that delayed puberty and the lack of related growth was due to an eating disorder. Cross sex hormones weren’t a magic bullet - going through a normal male puberty would have had the same (or greater) effect.

Peak Height Velocity (PHV): The most rapid growth phase occurs between ages 12 and 15, with peak velocity often hitting around 3.5 to 3.7 inches (9 to 9.5 cm) in a single year.

So to grow 7 inches in two years is normal pubertal growth for male puberty. Add on the catch up effect of the cessation of an eating disorder and proper transition and that’s maybe on the lower side.

I went from 4’10” and 80 lbs to 5’5” and 110 lbs in two years.

Peak Growth Spurt (Ages 12–16): This is the period of most rapid change. Boys can gain up to 15lbs to 20lbs in a single 12-month period.

So average male pubertal growth.

The estrogen may have assisted in the weight gain too.

SexRealistic · 17/05/2026 05:08

For these these children who have matured and realised the harm done to them - I do hope they get the support they need to overcome the ohysival and mental trauma.

As we know the vast majority of people who ‘transition’ don’t actually follow any legal process I.e. GRC. I wonder if there is a legal de-transition process.

It’s as much a human right as gender reassignment so I wonder how legislation and processes account for that. I know it will change state by state and country by country.

SexRealistic · 17/05/2026 05:04

polypostwonder · 16/05/2026 21:56

This is a belief, not reality.

I don't have a certificated 'gender reassignment.' Government administration had nothing to do with 'gender' when my birth certificate was changed.

If in the UK you have a limited grasp of the law. Changing birth certificates are because you have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria and EU law said to aid you legal state documents must be falsified to address your mental distress.

Worth a read. Might help you understand how we got here and how such a minority have been facilitated.

I wonder how easily birth certificates are changed back when someone’s mental distress is addressed and they ‘de-transition’?

I had shared a similar view actually - if you can lie and delude yourself about something so fundamental it then must erode other truth telling and accepting processes.

The level of collusion it must have taken to admit young girls (2/3 of transitioned) and commit body part removal on their young bodies to address mental distress.

Having lived experience of hospital experiences - I would do anything to avoid that for my child as it won’t resolve the mental distress.

Thankfully we have medical research that confirms cutting into children to support a belief system rather like female genital mutilation isn’t actually healthy or medically sound.

I thought that poster had previously claimed to have a DSD which stopped them going through a normal male puberty (although there are so many fantasists on here I may be mixing them up with another one).

Taking opposite sex hormones doesn't make someone go through an opposite sex puberty, since by definition, puberty is the process by which the reproductive system reaches maturity. You can't create a mature female reproductive system by filling an immature male body with female hormones.

I think it's more likely that all this is just a complete fantasy of someone who developed a trans identity as an adult.

After beginning oestrogen. I went from 4’10” and 80 lbs to 5’5” and 110 lbs in two years. My bones matured, as expected with oestrogen. Yes, I also grew some breasts. I never grew a beard, my voice never dropped.

So when you went through puberty, you grew and gained wieght, what adolescent human doesn't.
Same thing happened to me only no drugs required just a natural course of events. Manipulating things to bring it to a desired conclusion isn't natural, and what you are is what nature intended you to be despite your attempts to deny it.
