This is an unhinged response. Trans women were in the gay community. Trans men were in the lesbian community. Sex realism really needs to spend some time adjusting to the world as it exists and not the world they envision exists.

In that case, as gender is based on stereotypes attributed to each sex, then gender also is not real, therefore transpeople are not transitioning to or from anything. Surely that would put paid to all those TIM who state they are female. How do they know? if sex is not real, why do transpeople get surgery to try to replicate the sex characteristics of the opposite what should be called sex but apparently isn’t..

Anyway, back to the actual issue at hand, it's fantastic to hear that people who choose to detransition will actually have somewhere to turn. I've listened to and read many testimonies from detrans people, and they often express how little support there is for them on multiple levels, should they choose to embrace their birth sex.

the 'real' in realism doesn't exist. We are a social mammal, with art and culture (for good and bad). Sex has been manifested outside of the body across millennia.

I knew a few transwomen in the early 1980s. I don't think any of them used the internet. Very few people did back then.
