Transgender Homicides in Britain, 2000–2025: Victims and Perpetrators

It was originally a comment on the RC reaction to the National Socialist ethos in Berlin in the thirties, or rather failure to react to it as it should have been reacted to. Lending the disreputable movement a veneer of respectability for a lot of people – right up until Hitler's regime started to persecute RCs as well as trades unionists, Jews, gypsies, the disabled, etc ad naus., in fact.

To be fair, the official catholic party line was opposed to the Nazis, but altogether too many RC priests acquiesced until "they came for me". And they tried very hard to appease and not make waves, much of the time.

Thanks for "clerical fascism", I not heard of it before, does it only apply to the Catholic Church (I searched it) or any religion.

I often wish I knew whether people who throw the word "Nazis" around have the faintest idea what National Socialism was about or what its tenets. In real life, they never seem to be able to tell me if I ask them.

I was on a discussion about immigration. One particular person was abusing everyone else. Apparently they were stupid, ignorant, uneducated, unable to analyse what they read, had no critical thinking, she despaired of the state of the [English] education system, etc. She rejected all the statistical evidence put to her and stated that there were a number of analytical studies which clearly proved that she was right. She was then invited to link to one or two of those studies, so that we could read them. That was the last we heard of her.

That's presumably on a par with "You wouldn't know my girlfriend, she's at a different school" and "lots of people have DMed support for me". On this board we also sometimes get "well that post has 37 'agree's so you're wrong".

They had no problem telling women they were bullying and not up to date and bad feminists. But no, they were not going to link up any evidence to a ‘Mumsnet thread’.

It's rather ironic, not to say telling, that OF criticises the author over a perceived lack of academic rigour, whilst displaying exactly that, themself. They show no sign of refuting the analysis at all, just tells us to Google it.

I hope they aren't an actual teaching academic.

The claim that the poster in question is a colleague of the man Rattley has definitely been made by that poster. Whether we choose to believe it without any evidence is up to us.

SUICIDE
2 of the killers were not tried for their crimes because they committed suicide.

OUTCOME OF FACT CHECK of the list of 20 "homicides" = As I've mentioned, there appear to be a small number of relatively minor mistakes in the list. Eg where an older family friend was said to be the murderer's grandmother and where a murderer transitioned after rather than before the crime.
THOUGHTS?
The majority of the crimes are more shocking than I had anticipated. There is a lot of very extreme violence (eg stabbing the victim many, many times). There are I think 3 murders of parents. A lot of the killers suffered/are suffering from serious mental health issues, and on a number of occasions being transgender was mentioned in the context of that.
TRANSITIONING AFTER IMPRISONMENT
I was surprised at the overall level of commitment to some level of physical transitioning by those who "transitioned" after rather than before imprisonment. In one case, the killer cut off his own testicles in prison.
WOMEN
10% of the killers were female, and their crimes were extremely shocking.
SCOTLAND
20% were from Scotland, although less than 10% of the UK population lives in Scotland - 4 out of 20.
SEX
A large number of the crimes had a sex aspect to them.

CHRISTOPHER / CRYSTAL HUNNISETT:
There's a lot going on here:

"The murder conviction of a former altar boy who carried out the vigilante killing of a man he wrongly believed was a paedophile has been upheld by judges.
Christopher Hunnisett bludgeoned Peter Bick with a hammer and strangled him with a shoelace, just months after being released from prison over another killing.

Hunnisett, who underwent a sex change in prison and is now called Crystal, was first jailed in 2002 over the death of 81-year-old Reverend Ronald Glazebrook, who he had been lodging with as a teenager in St Leonards on Sea, in East Sussex.
The vicar’s severed head and limbs were discovered in a sports bag on a traffic island in Hastings, and his torso was found near Eastbourne.
Hunnisett was convicted at trial and spent eight years in prison before the murder conviction was quashed on appeal and the case was sent for a retrial.
Jurors then cleared Hunnisett of the murder, after he described punching Rev Glazebrook to stop him touching him in the bath, finding the pensioner dead the next morning. Four months after being released from prison, Hunnisett attacked supermarket worker Mr Bick in Bexhill.

Hunnisett had drawn up a “hit list” of targets for an attack while in prison, and on release set-up an online “honeytrap”.
Mr Bick used social media and dating websites to meet men, but the court heard there was “not a shred of evidence” that he was a paedophile."

"A murderer who performed her own DIY sex change behind bars by cutting off her testicles has claimed her rights in prison are being violated.
The former altar boy, Christopher Hunnisett, 33, told the court "I have cut off my testicles and sliced the shaft of my penis in half".
Taking her case to the High Court, she complained keeping her in segregation at HMP Frankland, Durham, was unfair, and that she was showed a "lack of respect" by the prison who called her home-made operation "self-harm surgery".

NB Nicolle Early's victim - a woman in her 60s whom Early stamped to death - was a family friend, not the murderer's grandmother.

NICOLLE / KOBI EARLY:

"A murderer who killed as a woman at the age of 16 is living as a trans man in Scotland’s women-only jail.
Nicolle Earley was one of Scotland’s youngest killers when jailed in 2010 for the brutal murder of pensioner Ann Gray in her home.

Now living as a man, and using the name ‘Kobi’, Earley is being housed in the admission hall at HMP Stirling, which is normally reserved for new offenders.
Earley has been convicted of multiple violent crimes while inside and was recently accused of grabbing a female officer by the hair and punching her in the face.

The prisoner, now 32, was given a minimum sentence of 14 years in 2014 for the senseless murder but has collected further sentences due to violent and erratic behaviour inside.
The killer has posed extra difficulties for the Scottish Prison Service, which has been under intense pressure due to the gender wrangles concerning male-to female trans prisoners like Isla Bryson and Tiffany Scott in recent months.

A source said: “This case is extraordinary because we have a very violent woman who now identifies as a man.
“The SPS is in a quandary as to where to house him, as there would be clear risks in putting such a person straight into the male prison estate.
“Earley’s case is very different to that of Isla Bryson and others who were seen as chancers who sought to improve their jail experience by changing gender.
“Staff have felt he has genuinely felt himself to be male and has been identifying as such for several years, before the latest trans stuff became global news. The problem is that the SPS does not have accommodation that would tick all the boxes for such a difficult prisoner.”

DANIEL / SOPHIE EASTWOOD:
"Trans Scots killer now identifying as infant demands nappies and baby food in jail
Sophie Eastwood, formerly Daniel, is demanding nappies to wear and food to be blended like a baby's and has already been supplied with a dummy at Polmont prison.

Sophie Eastwood was formerly known as Daniel and was jailed for life in 2004 for strangling a cell-mate with shoelaces.
The killer has now told the prison governor at Polmont jail that she wants to identify as a baby, wear nappies and have meals blended like baby food.
Eastwood has also demanded that prison officers hold her hand when she is escorted from her cell.
It is understood that prison bosses are treating the demands seriously and considering which protocols might be established in dealing with the prisoner.

A source said: “This prisoner has been difficult and manipulative over the years, which is why she is still behind bars after 17 years.
“She decided that she would ‘trans’ from a man to woman, which is becoming more common in jails these days.
“But this is obviously something else entirely and the Scottish Prison Service has no protocol in place for dealing with prisoners who decide they are babies.”
The source added: “Eastwood is a complex person and intelligent but she is pretty demanding on the resources of the prison and enjoys being the centre of attention.
"It’s difficult to know if she really does feel a natural inclination to be treated like a baby or if it’s just some kind of attention seeking.
“Modern prisons are very tuned in to human rights and the legal implications they throw up, so it’s being given proper consideration.”
Eastwood, 36, is serving a life sentence for killing Paul Algie, 22, in 2004.
Formerly Daniel Eastwood, she has been living as a woman in jail for four years and completed her 15-year minimum term in 2019."

KIMBERLEY GREEN AGAIN - TRANSITIONING IN PRISON:
"The Green case involved a prisoner (convicted as Craig Hudson for his part in the torture and murder of his wife and of perverting the course of justice), who in prison changed name to Kimberley Green. It was not about single-sex services, as Green was held in a men’s prison, but the question of whether Green, who had a male appearance and genitalia, was discriminated against by being denied tights, a wig, prosthetic breasts and vaginas (the prison governor argued that these items are a security risk), as well as having difficulty in obtaining other items such as concealer make-up, sanitary towels, hair-removal products and outsize women’s shoes and clothing."
