Honestly, this man is obsessed. He has now created a program to scrape and grade Mumsnet threads from this board.

What is this?

Oh yes, I have downloaded most of mumsnet and we will be doing embeddings of the content to try to understand how does the rot and hate builds and spreads.

I never had so much hate and delusion on my hard drive before 😅

Who brought up raisins? I hate raisins. Nothing can make them acceptable, coating them in chocolate, putting them in cakes. Nothing. Shrivelled-up, grainy little abominations.

Have you tried soaking them in rum for a couple of weeks and then coating them in dark chocolate? I do apricots and cherries in brandy too...

Bluesky was going to be the new dawn! So there they all now, circle jerking, while everybody else carries on on X.

I have never understood Bluesky's funding model - they don't have adverts. Their user interraction is already declining. I give it a year.

Thanks for those suggestions, I buy most of my wine from Lidl/Aldi, so will look out for them. Another good one (which I haven't had for decades) is Bortoli Noble One, from Australia, but it is over £20 for a half bottle nowadays.

The Noble One is blockbuster wine. De Bortoli do a cheaper version that has been in Lidl but is also in ASDA for £8. I think they do the Morrison's Best botrytis Semillon too.

The Wine Tours of Lidl have some very very interesting wines.

Have you tried a Passito Muscat di Pantellaria? You can often pick those up at Lidl. Or a Recioto della Valpolicella?

I agree Muscat de Beams de Venise is very undervalued. Mavrodaphne of Patras is also forgotten about but excellent value.

I think though that a Moscato d'Asti that has been aged in oak before release might be the right match for a bounty bar. It will match the coconut nicely and cope with the chocolate.

Sadly hot choc when out & about is often a disappointment, I have to resort to whipped cream & marshmallows to ease the pain.

The same way they justify selling Pot Noodle as a food item I suppose.

I loathe bananas but I was always with her on the warm milk/mushy weetabix thing. It's how I ate it as a kid.

You can just stick to a diet high in fibre and fermented foods. Wee gut microbes will make loads of it.
I'm quite fond of a Reeses peanut butter cup or two but that might be mostly because of the peanuts. I just go and sit with Marie on the misfits bench.

I once polished off the end of a box of weetabix eaten in the manner of my father’s family (dry topped with slices of proper Lurpak from the fridge). I think it was 6 bix. My digestive system never forgave me and I had to have two days off work. Ive not eaten them since, even in the manner of my mother’s family (soaked in full fat milk with a generous sprinkling of white granulated sugar.)

As for American chocolate - I actually lost weight when I lived in America because of the chocolate issue. Every time I visited the UK I world take my small suitcase as hand luggage and it would be full (literally) of various treats. I dreaded security asking me to open my case because the contents would have exploded out over the airport in a fountain of purple and silver foil. Usually lasted about a week.

Actually you could always tell the expats waiting at the gate because their hand luggage usually rustled and occasionally spilled over when the owner was searching for something.
