Sadly, not a Monty Python sketch.

Matt Rattley, a large bearded bloke who wears giant fake breasts, appears to be happily working at Oxford Uni.

I was really hoping this wasn't true but there is even a youtube video with him talking while wearing the giant breasts and red lipstick, applied to a degree any circus clown would be accused of overdoing it. The video includes a slide stating he works as a lecturer and tutor in the Biochemistry Dept at Oxford. He's also on LinkedIn.

I mean, how obvious can it be that this is a sexual fetish which he is involving unconsenting students and staff in???

Dr P on X has been (correctly) very robust on this case:

""This is Matt Rattley saying, "I can do whatever I please and nobody can stop me".

This is highly antisocial, abnormal, boundary-violating, paraphilic behaviour.

And we should not be afraid to say so."

On the video of Dr North talking to the free speech union there is a link to the quotes he put up.

There was no 'defacement' there were simply thought provoking quotes.

There was no 'hate' from Dr North's side.

What was 'hateful' was the free speech suppression Departmental response. It's absolutely shameful. I resent any taxpayers money going to this department apart from Dr North as there can be no trust at all they will be able to have the objectivity required for scientific research in this atmosphere of fear.

It's unbelievably shocking.

Yes the use of the word sad was odd.

I don't think anyone's bloody sad.

Fuming, maybe. I'm absolutely furious that a whole swathe of men have found a legitimate way to involve women and girls in their misogynistic fetish.

Cross-dressing is an exceptionally common fetish for men. And now, because of this fucking ideology, they've managed to whip every institution going into letting them do it.

I'm angry with this man for being such a nasty misogynist, but my real rage is reserved for anyone in authority who can see it as plain as day, but refuses to do anything about it. Because it only upsets women.

If they kicked this guy out, and he sued, there's not a court in the land who would find in his favour.

I’m sad, I am sad that after all this time young women STILL don’t have their right upheld to access a non sexualised learning environment.
It’s like whackamole, one way of preventing men using students to get their rocks off is (largely) stamped out and a new one pops up and we have to start again from scratch with all the wearisome arguments with people who think there’s nothing wrong with it.

It's enabling the creeps, the perverts, the predators and the dangerous men to thrive to the detriment of everyone else.

Yes, this.

And the difficult question to be asked is why? Why are well established social norms about women's safety, child safeguarding, public decency being abandoned by the powerful in favour of the socially unacceptable?

I fear it's telling us something worrying about the nature of those in charge in politics, the NHS, universities, businesses etc. Why are these people incapable of saying no, incapable of recognising safety and acceptable behaviour in the face of men like this? What is it that they find so exciting (and I use the word deliberately) about the thought of girls and women being compelled to undress alongside men, the young being involved in a man's sexual fetish. Is it overwhelming fear or does it tell us something more disturbing about them?

VictorianPlum · 27/04/2026 09:29

Imposter syndrome, eh? One wonders what attracted him to that job. Presenting as he does.

“He has the giveaway AGP smirk.”

Hasn’t he though?

This is the reaction to being told ‘no, you should respect female people’s needs for single sex provisions’.

Why have we been led to believe that male people who believe they are women are different to any other male person who ignores women’s boundaries and reject women saying ‘no’.

Here is Alexandra Billings who self published these videos . This one first I believe.

https://x.com/gaynotqueer1/status/2032811484271817092?s=46

Then the chilling and menacing response to women saying 'no' here stitched into Amy Sousa’s response.

https://x.com/knownheretic/status/2032639781658833142?s=46

The menace is chilling to see. Yet, apparently we are supposed to welcome these same men into provisions designated as single sex for our protection from men threatening and intimidating us.

It becomes so clear that these men hate female people in general when they gloat over not being able to stop them accessing provisions that they should be excluded from and lack the inclination to self exclude from. Just as they gloat over organisational decisions to remove female single sex provisions in response to law changes that exclude male people from those provisions.

At the same time, we are supposed to believe that these men are most vulnerable and marginalised.

Here is another set of videos that shows the same dynamic.
Daviana. Who started posting videos about how he knew he was a man etc. He was considered to be 'one of the reasonable ones' because of that.

Of course, as he has made more videos more has come out about what and how he really thinks. .

https://x.com/KnownHeretic/status/2031523680136868150?s=20

https://x.com/KnownHeretic/status/2031873045682667588?s=20

https://x.com/KnownHeretic/status/2031975467725832460?s=20

These men are chilling once you see what they really think.

Billings and Daviana are just two men who are showing women who they really are. It seems some men really cannot help themselves in showing that these demands are also part of the power dynamic.

Amy E. Sousa, MA Depth Psychology (@KnownHeretic) on X

Alexandra Billings is another entitled man who thinks his cosmetic purchases buy him an all access pass to violate women’s boundaries. I respond to his snarky video point for point.

It's not really a caricature of a woman's body though is it, is just a bloke w fake tits. I find it impossible to feel that he reflects anything about womanhood in any way so I genuinely can't get offended. Not saying that to be cool or edgy, he's just so far away from anything Id recognise as a woman that it has no bearing on my identity at all.

caricature
/ˈkarɪkətʃʊə,ˈkarɪkətʃɔː/

noun

a picture, description, or imitation of a person in which certain striking characteristics are exaggerated in order to create a comic or grotesque effect.

womendeserveequalhumanrights · 27/04/2026 09:24

Yes, this.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 27/04/2026 09:22

Society's been groomed in recent years into accepting the unacceptable. Boundaries steadily eroded.
Workplace policies insisting that trans identifying men must be allowed into women's changing rooms, showers etc.
Schools with age inappropriate "trans policies", and some promoting compelled mixed sex undressing.
Large companies excitedly removing single sex changing rooms and imposing mixed sex facilities on reluctant customers.
Countless unsuitable organisations and individuals writing Drag queen story time for toddlers.
Women's sport being handed over to cheating men
Parents being coerced into transitioning their children for fear of condemnation and social services intervention
And so much more.

It's enabling the creeps, the perverts, the predators and the dangerous men to thrive to the detriment of everyone else.
It needs to stop and society needs to start saying no.

womendeserveequalhumanrights · 27/04/2026 09:21

I've just watched the video about Dr North being put on the ducking stool by the Dept of Biology at Oxford for stating biological reality and questioning the suppression of truth. And, as it turns out, his defence of the law and Equality act as later confirmed by the Supreme Court (his view that biological sex is real and matters was ALWAYS the law, after all, the SC just clarified that).

It's unbelievable the difference between the treatment of Dr North for stating biological facts and pointing out the ridiculousness of the department of biology supporting an unscientific anti-biological reality ideology in displays - including the gender unicorn ffs - and this obvious male fetishist being allowed to parade around in porn-style fake boobs and low cut tops.

There were whole department denouncements of his behaviour described as 'hate' even though it was just quoting other people mostly from the sound of it!

Fucks sake Oxford Uni what the fucking hell is wrong with you, you bunch of woman-hating, law-breaking MRAs and handmaidens! Orwellian.

When it comes to safeguarding I'd take any working class person over anyone in academia, I wouldn't be surprised if they went full Harman with PIE pretty soon. That's the direction of travel.

And thank you Dr North.

Dr. Dr. P: "No men. No exceptions".
Apr 25
Here's a tweet I wrote a few months ago.

I had forgotten about my concept of 'Employer-Initiated Coercive Control' (EICC).

EICC describes exactly what UniofOxford is doing, in allowing Mr Matt Rattley to attend work dressed in this entirely inappropriate manner.

I hope this gets a lot of sunlight as it'll put lots of parents off supporting their children through a degree at Oxford. Especially foreign, rich ones, I'd imagine.

Why would you send your daughter to a university that will allow her to be used as an unconsenting prop in a clear porn-soaked fetish.

Mmmnotsure · 27/04/2026 09:01

A woman with breasts this size may well be in pain. It would probably be damaging to her skeleton.

And she likely wouldn't be able to access breast reduction on the NHS very easily.

The problem is that many men do think that this reflects 'womanhood' and their opinion carries weight.

Men's opinion certainly carries weight. I don't think they think it reflects actual womanhood tho. The porn version, maybe.

Hence all the actual women being called old, bigoted, behind the times, on the wrong side of history, etc.

Time again we see these men being handled with kind of kid gloves that are never, ever reserved for women. Everyone knows what sex these men are. That's why they're pandered to.

@Lady1576 you wonder if this deviant wearing massive fake boobs to work makes us feel sad.

I don't feel sad, I feel an inherent disgust of this man. He is brazen in his display of his fetish and it is clear how he views women. My disgust is a very helpful emotion. It helps keep me safe. It helps me find my anger. In evolutionary terms disgust helped us not eat things that smell bad. It is a very deep rooted sense.

Disgust is one of the things that queer theory seeks to eradicate. If nothing is inherently disgusting, then it can be explained away as just part of life's rich tapestry. Boundaries can be trampled over and men get to take their fetish to work, and we have no basis on which to object.

I think we need to bring disgust back.

I can only find two publications under his name and not one as first author. How do you become a lecturer at Oxford with that publication record?

"Friends " in high places and an HR department unable to say the word "no" to a man.

I suspect, from what I've read on here, he didn't show any of these propensities while he was trying to get hired. Now that he's on the books, they will have a hell of a time getting rid of him. If enough students and staff complained, Oxford might rethink extending his contract, but, as we know, no one feels able to complain because of the inevitable backlash they would face.

What it needs is for parents to complain on behalf of their children. Most of these parents will be paying huge tuition fees. The students are likely just trying to keep their heads down.

All I can see is that he is a ‘non-stipendiary lecturer’ at college level. As I understand that refers to an unpaid position tutoring small groups. Often done by early career staff as a way to gain experience.

This is, in itself, interesting - means not employed by the uni in this context (though assume is either PhD student or postdoc) but will be teaching small groups in isolation. Could be an excellent teacher, but suspect this attire might make some feel uncomfortable

PhD student most likely I think. I used to teach lab classes and some seminars when I was a PhD student. I wouldn't have called myself a lecturer though.

Igmum · 26/04/2026 17:05

Thank you Amaryllis, my mind boggles at how my undergraduates would have reacted... (not to mention the Faculty's Advisory Board who I'm seeing afterwards 😳)

I was inspired by @Lady1576 use of the word "discourse" (and an overnight conversation with one of the recovering Foucault-addled gerbils off-duty at the Bluestocking) to suggest that if a female academic did wear a large shiny knitted willy to work then she could tell her Faculty BoS that she was problematizing the academy's engagement with the signifiers of sexual characteristics to queer gender stereotypes, with her best best "and surely no reasonable academic could have an issue with that?" quizzical smile. (You might want to put it through ChatGPT as social studies is not my first language.)

Or she could just go old-school with "this is Oxford, we're supposed to be eccentric". It's a well-used excuse and clearly it's still a good'un.

It's not about purloining someone's identity.

No woman actually feels that this man looks anything like a woman. And given the beard, even he's not trying to look like a woman, either.

In the same way that a man wearing a nappy wouldn't be perceived as actually trying to look like a baby.

It's the wearing of fetish gear in public, for all the reasons that men enjoy doing it.

To shock, to humiliate, to dominate, to make people, particularly women, feel uncomfortable. It's all oh so arousing.

And in this particular case knowing that the ideology has backed the authorities into such a corner that he can walk around smirking about it and they're powerless to stop him.

These spineless tossers, know full well what's going on, and they haven't the guts to stop it.

Yes, let's not forget Wayne Couzens had the nickname 'the rapist' at work and allegedly made very many women feel uncomfortable.

As we know, these behaviours tend to escalate if allowed to proceed unchecked.

Some of his outfits are quite tasteful- lovely broad shoulders, wide scooped neckline. Others are not- the deep V neck showing cleavage.

Tasteful or not, this man isn’t a woman and he isn’t dressed as a woman.
He’s just wearing exhibitionist comedy boobs to work. That shouldn’t be receiving support from management. Hen night, stag night, panto, fancy dress costumes aren’t suitable for work.

Igneococcus · 27/04/2026 08:10

He is certainly very clear about what he thinks is the important thing about women.
