The headline of the Times article is totally misleading. As this paragraph from the article shows.

100% this. It's so galling after years without a shred of sympathy or understanding for women.

They need to change "the tone" 🙄. For fucksake. Meanwhile, businesses and orgs will continue in a muddle saying they don't know how to follow the law.

So whatever the guidance says - and it cannot say men can go in the women's - does not matter

As there will be legal case after legal case - which will side eventually with no males in females spaces.

The delay has been killed. this is good news all round for everyone I am certain.

I'm really angry to see her dick pandering like this 🤬 She's basically unable to change the law so she wants the regulator to pander to the feelings of these men by making the guidance as sympathetic and 'inclusive' towards them as possible.

It's nice to know that women's safety and rights don't factor in her considerations at all. She's not bothered about making things more inclusive for us.

I think it's important that the guidance is issued as soon as possible. If it's changed to make it easier for businesses to follow that's actually a good thing. What we want is businesses to follow the law, and not to have an excuse to moan about how the guidance is too difficult to understand.

As I said, if it doesn't match up to the clear requirements of the Act then it's open to Judicial Review. Nobody will let it slide.

They can't go as far as allowing trans identifying men in female spaces but they can come up with wild suggestions for how these men can be accommodated, I assume with more examples of mixed sex facilities/provisions. She really doesn't get that no matter how many inclusive options there are for these men, if there is even one female space that is not available to them then all the spaces that are available count for nothing.

I just had a quick look at the pre election protocols for ministers and it says this

It's meant to stop them making announcements that may affect the election. Does the new guidance really fall into the category of a new initiative?
