So let's try and work out the timeline here:

• In April Steph announces he is suing the Labour Party, because laydee feelz were hurted. He begins a crowdfunder with CrowdJustice, a "crowfunding platform for legal issues"
• Steph sets a target of (IIRC) £17,000
• Steph gets an initial surge of donations, which gets to just shy of £10,000
• Donations slow right down
• The 30 day limit approaches and Steph has nowhere near £17,000
• Some time in May (I forget when, it can be checked), Steph announces his lawyers have appealed to CrowdJustice to extend the fundraiser because Labour lawyers are being meanies
• This is allowed, and the target (which, remember, is nowhere near met) is stretched to £25,000
• In late May the date is extended by another 30 days (noted on this thread)
• At this point, it's still a "I'm pointlessly suing the Labour Party for following the actual law" fundraiser
• At the beginning of June, £15,000 is mysteriously donated overnight
• Two days later, the reason for the crowdfunder is changed to "Wah wah the EHRC Code of Practice"
• An email was supposedly sent out to donators, explaining the change
• Steph did not amend the page's title and text until called out by a donator called ActualWoman on fundraiser's comments
• Magically, the page was completely amended the next day
• The page is now lying about what the previous, original fundraiser was called

I like his complaint on X that This Code leans heavily on last year's Supreme Court ruling, which determined that "sex" within the framework of the Equality Act 2010 refers strictly to biological sex..

Well duh, that’s the whole point of a CoP - to provide guidance on how the law can be complied with.

He hasn't cleared up well enough behind him:

I actually enquired of CJ whether this was quite cricket.

Got a somewhat arsey response stating that every donor had been informed. Which is interesting, given ActualWoman's message.

Well, I've emailed CrowdJustice to ask what is going on and whether this is allowed on their site.

I use that site a lot, it's not on if people post misleading stuff and then pocket thousands of pounds.

So I reckon £15,000 came from him. It appeared overnight the day before yesterday.

Then, last night, he changed his "cause".

So, roughly £13,000 was raised from supporters for him to take the Labour Party to court.

Surely this is now fraud?

What happened to the other aims? As stated:

What the fuck has he done with the 25k?

Do Crowdjustice allow people to do this? Seems pretty fucking surprising if so.

What would the point of a JR of the code of practice be? The GLP have already done this for the interim guidance and are now planning to appeal the result.

I'm not a lawyer but I do know that you can't take money for a particular cause and then channel it into another one without getting agreement from the donors, which is pretty unlikely with a crowdfunder.

Many comments from donors referencing the challenge to the Labour Party. Which is no longer even mentioned.

So the original said "I have sought legal advice and representation on challenging the lawfulness of the Labour Party’s ban."

It now says "If the [Equality and Human Rights Commission’s Draft Code of Practice (CoP)] is not rejected or substantially revised, I am willing and intend to pursue a judicial review. You can help me do that.

I am now seeking support to fund this legal challenge..."

There is currently a note at the end "Note: This case page was originally titled 'Justice for Steph: The Fight for Political Inclusion' and was updated 3rd June 2026." How long has that been there! Is it since the comment by ActualWoman was posted?
