There are no test results to dismiss. The IBA wouldn't even say what kind of test was administered. The IBA are a corrupt, incompetent joke, if they told me the sky was blue I'd look outside to check.

They banned a second boxer at the same time as Khelif, for failing the exact same tests. Since confirmed to be female.

She's not entered any competitions full stop. She's currently challenging the testing requirements in court. Her next competition is the Olympics and she's confirmed that she'll take any test required to compete.

She is arguing over the mandatory requirement of a particular type of test, not that she should be exempt from testing.

She's prepping for the Olympics and has repeatedly confirmed that she's happy to be tested.

But the fighter is happy to take a sex test for the next Olympics, saying to CNN in February: 'Of course, I would accept doing anything I'm required to do to participate in competitions.

Olympic athletes undergo all manner of testing, including for T/E levels. These are random, year round.

This was a claim made by the IBA that has never been substantiated. No data or criteria were ever published. The IBA is a disgraced Russian organization that was subsequently stripped of IOC recognition. If you know anything about boxing you'll know why.

I feel bad for Khelif like I'd feel bad for anyone forced to have a deeply personal medical issue play out in public.

But if there are concerns then it's quite right that they're addressed openly. I don't have sympathy for that her in that regard.

And if it's established that she wasn't eligible, of course I'll have sympathy for the other boxers. I'm just waiting for the facts.

Haven't read the full thread, but honestly? I'm surprised you're surprised, OP. My expectations for actors are on the floor these days. I tend to assume they're all stupid virtue signallers unless they prove otherwise. Same with musicians.

The last few years have killed off most of the respect I once had for celebrities. Seeing them all be so spineless on women's rights was definitely part of it, but I don't even think it's just that anymore? It feels more like . . . everything. Since the pandemic I just have zero tolerance for the whole stupid Hollywood game. Maybe it's a part of getting older? These days, the celebs I respect are those who stay in their lane and just do their job.

I make an exception for JKR, because she really was in a situation where she was the only woman who could afford to take the hit of speaking out. We'd seen smaller creators try and fail. Publishing and the creative space especially needed someone to shine a light on what was happening, for the world outside FWR. And the trans cult did come for her first. But once we're out of the woods on this, I would love for her to be able to go back to mostly talking about her writing. I don't want her to be defined by the trans issue. It would be letting the TRAs win.

Can't say I'm aware of him. I don't tend to watch mainstream or american films. I prefer European/Iranian/Turkish etc But , even so, surely the only way anyone would know what such actors have said is if they are following social media - the function of which is to generate gossip and tittle tattle and promote vacuous self revelation.

I have no words really. It's been utterly and depressing eye opening,

I'd say any sympathy has been balanced out by attacks and vitriol, inside and outside the boxing world.

So of course there's a mention and consideration for Khelif's opponents. I think everyone in this conversation has expressed sympathy for them.

But the fact is, Khelif passed every test required in order to compete at the Olympics, so until it's established that she wasn't eligible to compete as a woman and is stripped of her medals, they're rightfully hers.
