There was a direct link between sexual offences and those men who cross dressed and/or full transvestives. It was well known.

Tbf in the olden days (pre 2015) the Police used to brief recruits about the links between transvestism and various forms of sexual crimes. Now those links cannot be spoken of, because it would be transphobic.

Ugh, that BBC article refers to this TiM as "they" even though it reports that the defendant was described with male pronouns throughout the trial.
