It shouldn’t be hard though. We’re grown women and we are allowed to have different points of view. You can challenge my point of view, I have no issue with robust debate, but once posters call people like me ‘think’, ‘not capable of understanding’, or unable to put forward a ‘coherent’ argument, I’m not willing to discuss the issue with that person.

We had one who did not want to acknowledge responsibility as Prime Minister until 2022, who tried to get the existence of one of his children kept a secret.

I'm baffled by the lack of basic knowledge on this thread by a few posters. And the idea that you can only be alive if you have a death certificate when you die literally matter me snort. Should I be concerned that my chicken nugget is still alive because the manner doesn't come with a dessert certificate? Ever had a pet die?

Or do you want a special definition of life that inexplicably only applies to humans?

Most of the friends I know who have had abortions ( I've had two myself) had them because their partner did not want a baby. Though, In all cases they took place within the first twelve weeks of gestation. There are plenty of men ( including husbands) who want the sex but don't want responsibility for the consequences

I don't agree that the plan or intent is to ban abortion altogether. I would certainly not support that if it was the case. But there has to be a limit on late term abortions unless there are profound medical reasons for termination. It is not acceptable in my view to terminate a baby that could potentially survive outside of the womb. Lots of babies are now being born at around 24 weeks and surviving. It would be a horror show to terminate such a wll developed, and healthy, baby.

In my mind it is analagous with the assisted dying/suicide debate - in terms of its moral magnitude.

Where did I say a virus is alive? It’s a strange comparison tbh and feels a little like an attempt at a gotcha.

I didn't really try to have a discussion with you, to be fair. I didn't quote you or direct any questions at you.

Just expressed my shock at someone believing that.

Until born, the fetus isn't alive. Abortions do not and cannot kill unless it goes horribly wrong and the potential mother dies.

It is very difficult to have a reasoned discussion with someone who doesn't think a pre - term baby is alive, to be fair.

Im unsure as to why you think I have to justify myself to you.

I was fully prepared to discuss this. However, I’m not willing to have a discussion with people who feel the need to insult me in every response. We should be able to disagree without resorting to that. The insults show that those people are not engaging in good faith.
