The BBC, engaging in misogyny while discussing how bad misogyny is. The irony would never even occur to them. Another irony is that the TRAs of the UK believe the BBC to be an awful transphobic institution.

Interesting choice of guest. Woman’s Hour has looked to the other side of the world, found an 82 year old, long retired academic whose only personal example of misogynistic behaviour was harassment on the street (which is more likely to have transphobic harassment).

I wonder exactly how this person’s experience of misogyny differs from mine (and other natal females.)
Was he overruled, talked down to, dismissed, when a young child or adolescent purely because of his sex? Was he steered away from masculine pursuits or careers?
Did he suffer inappropriate male attention as a 12 or 13 year old because he started developing breasts? Did he take action to avoid dangerous situations that might lead to a sexual assault?
I think not. And as adults, there is some evidence (in the form of remarks, statements from various transwomen) that they feel only validation at such attention and may actually seek it. )
