There's also a really weird - can't really call it logic - where the SNP are fabulous and must never be criticised because they're going to deliver Indy, and if they do anything bad (eg wrecked the education system, disastrous NHS, fucked up the ferries, put men in women's prisons, embezzled loads of money, and on and on) then either that thing didn't really happen or is in reality good (straight denial) or it's because the Scottish government are in the pay of Westminster, Scotland is an English colony, etc. I'm sure that if Scotland does get independence at some point, and Indy supporters find that the sunny uplands are not so sunny, they'll do what many Brexit supporters have done, and blame it all on the "remainers / English / Westminster" blocking a fair departure from the UK.
