I don't know what Trump's got to do with it. He certainly has plenty of faults and things you can criticise, but lack of straight talking on gender ideology isn't one of them. He is on the side of truth on this one. That shouldn't be hard, but apparently it is in far too many countries and for far too many 'journalists'.

Trump has pushed back against calling men women. He's also taken steps to protect children from medical experimentation and protect women's sports.

Arguably people lying and trying to coercively control and force others to lie about biological sex of criminals is one of the reasons people voted for Trump.

In Sweden the big daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter has gone with straight out lies, reporting the gunman as ‘a woman’ with no mention of the fact that he was actually male:

They also use a passive tense for what happened to most of the victims. ‘Were killed’ or ‘died’ instead of ‘he killed’.

But the guardian calls him a woman at the outset, in the first paragraph, and doesn't mention anything related to his sex until 11 paragraphs in. So wrong.

The coercive control abuse element is so clear.

Killer gets to dictate how everyone speaks, even in death. The ideology both attracts and creates abusers.

The victims don't get to declare an identity - no-one bothers to ask - but are categorised according to sex without any comment on how the reporting is using different language for killer and victims. 'Gender' for killer, suddenly when it comes to the victims sex is recognised. Even though sex is important when it comes to the killer - sex is a predictor of who commits these kind of crimes, males are hugely, disproportionately more likely to commit these crimes.

People in Canada are under totalitarian control on this issue. Good for international news outlets like Al Jazeera who report what the Canadian authorities say then say 'the sex of the shooter has not been confirmed'. Because sex matters in murder and mass murder. And journalists elsewhere in the world are not afraid to report on this.

If you look at the comments on X under Trudeau's post, most Canadians are angry about the lies - they just don't have many routes to complain because they'll be punished if they recognise the gaslighting, the primacy given to killer over victims, the inability to name reality, the obfuscation of sex. But only when it comes to the killer, of course.

The issue and confusion is that Canadian authorities are using the term female. So reporters can pick and choose to an extent.

The bbc are now being accurate and clarifying to a degree but still quoting the term female. So now the term female can only be accurate if coupled with biological.

Last night, Channel 4 and 5, ITV and BBC were all reporting it was a female shooter. It has now taken 24 hours for the BBC to change their story. What a disgusting organisation they are. BBC "Verify", is that some kind of sick joke?

BBC this morning

BBC radio 4 news headline just talked about the suspect without using pronouns and then said that they were born male but identified as a woman.

Just had a brief look at the rag type newspapers thinking they or more likely to tell the truth on this subject. The Mirror reports 'shot herself', The Sun at least specifies born a male but started to transition to female.

I just read an article in the guardian and my jaw dropped when I read that it was an 18 year old woman. Wow, I thought, how surprising. But then I read on…

Honestly. This kind of reporting has to stop.
