Once upon a time she was quite refreshing. I remember an interview where she admitted she didn’t do any research and it was an antidote to actors going a bit heavy on all the work they did and sometimes thinking they had the intellect of the person they were playing. But I suppose even late-onset fame will send anyone up their own fundament.

These slebs just can't bear to be ordinary, they are so wrapped up in how talented, special and fabulous they are that they cannot possibly deal with only being heterosexual, even though most of them are. They probably also believe we care about the drivel they spout, they aren't geniuses or massive talents, they just happen to be fairly photogenic, got lucky and are good at pretending. Probably shocked that they can't walk on water.

When a straight man says "inside, I'm really a lesbian", in order to convey just how impressively rampant their sexual interest in women is, most people (especially women, whether straight or lesbian) cringe very deeply for them. Same deep embarrassment extended to Olivia Colman.
