The article shook me to my core. It was very hard to read the dehumanising, brutal language repeatedly used to describe women.

I wish Virginia Guiffre had lived to see all of this come out.

I don’t hate all men on sight. I love some men, I make an active choice to be in a relationship with one of the really good ones. But yes, I do hate men as a class, and I consider that very healthy - it’s protective for my mental and physical wellbeing and what’s healthier than that?

I just want to say how depressed I was with BBC coverage of this today. I was driving in the car and turned on Radio 4 (I know they're all misogynistic pricks in general, but I was bored and know your enemy etc). It was about 4pm. There was a programme talking about Mandleson and Andrew and whether the King will denounce Andrew. It was something about PR - so from that point of view but the presenters were like gleeful little boys. It sounded as if they thought it was a game, a political intrigue - drama! Excitement when the mighty have fallen! Absolutely zero fucks given at all about the broken child bodies or ruined children's lives. Absolutely no horror at the depravity and child abuse. Just 'oh this is an entertaining thing for us to chat about!'. Grim.

So so so depressing.

I should learn never to bother with the BBC. I need to write a note and stick it on my car radio: THEY ENABLED SAVILE, THEY HAVE NO DESIRE TO LEARN. THEY DO NOT SEE WOMEN AS FULL HUMANS. YOU WILL ONLY SHOUT AT THE RADIO.

An absolutely incredible article, albeit extremely distressing to read. I am honestly disgusted with everything coming out now and these vile men who hold so much power and yet speak and behave like sex-obsessed freaks. I'm sick of hearing about Epstein on the radio every morning, how on earth did this awful man get so much reach. And once again what is wrong with these men? Most of them have everything anyone could want and still carry on like this. They really do hate women.

I did chuckle at the fact that Epstein had a longevity guru though. Stupid little prick couldn't get himself out of that could he. Now let's see Clinton, Trump, Gates, Branson and all the rest destroyed along with Mandy and Andy.

There are other nice boys and men. One of her teachers, a couple of older boys in one of her classes who BTW treat the younger misogynist boys with contempt as well. Her piano teacher (also gay). They get healthy scepticism. Fine by me. A lot of Nice Guys turn out to be anything but. It's not 'blind' prejudice when in every country, in almost every time period, the most dangerous person to a woman is a man she knows.and trusts.

We have 2 sweet, non-bitey animals at home. But a lot of animals bite so I'm fine with most people being reticent and some refusing to interact. Boys and men are a clear and present danger to teenage girls. And boys at school talk about porn, they are often mean, patronising or sexist to the girls. Why should DD skip about giving every new boy or man the benefit of the doubt? What's in it for her? There is a cost, there's almost no benefit.

I actually think it is more important what example fathers model for their sons.

Would it not be healthier to disapprove of and/or 'hate' certain characteristics, rather than just men, generally, as a discrete group of human beings?

That's a shame! I personally find that very sad. Isn't it simply a case of blind prejudice when you treat everyone from a particular group on the basis of an automatic negative perception, without even having encountered or known them?

Generalised tendencies with certain groups can be acknowledged without hating on everyone from that group, surely? i cannot believe there were no nice boys at school at all?

Surgeon Jess Ting was a big pal of Epstein and is a proponent of trans surgery for minors - he changed specialisations within his plastic surgery practice to concentrate on genital 'reassignment' surgery. Even TRA-friendly media are covering the story.

The most devastating thing about the Epstein files is that absolutely nothing will happen as a result, thus confirming their assumption of impunity. And then it will get even worse.

Dd and her friends are currently whistleblowing the behavior of a group of boys at school.

Quite a few boys have now come forward giving witness statements in support of the girls. So many mums are doing a great job with their sons.

Absolutely sickening.

So many women involved in leftist and revolutionary movements are happy to put solidarity and the success of the movement above their own self-interest, confident that in the new regime their loyalty will be rewarded.

But we've seen throughout history, women playing a large part in a revolutionary or leftist political change and then, once the men are in power, the women in the movement are got rid of as no longer necessary - this happened in my own country Ireland where women campaigned for equal rights after independence from Britain and their support was gratefully accepted (even during the armed struggle) until after independence when they were completely shafted by the men who gained power in the new state and created very repressive legislation with regards women.

So many women allow idealism to get in the way of sensible self-interest 🤔

I think I'd rather teen DD started 'hating' and tentatively moved into liking some, than the converse. She has a great dad and (gay) male friend who she loves. All other men are treated on a range from utter contempt and dislike to healthy scepticism.

And it wasn't me that taught her that. It was the boys at her various schools.
