Amidt all the derailing, this is an important issue.
Few schools have cubicles in their changing rooms. Neither older or modern school buildings. There are both cost issues and space. Along with the fact that nobody ever anticipated we'd have people trying to remove safeguarding form children by promoting mixed sex changing and showering.

Most children must change for PE / swimming in open plan changing rooms. There are all sorts of issues in terms of changing rooms that are never addressed by those who try to infuence compulsory mixed sex undressing

I sure as hell didn't request ID from any of them. I've never met a trans man who left his semen behind. Perhaps that's a thing now.

If I remember correctly, sometime on this thread it was suggested that ‘all’ children have the right to privacy in a change room.

This can be taken two ways. First, of course, if a child wishes to use a cubicle, they should if one is available.

However, schools don’t have the space or the time to allow every student to change in an individual cubicle. My child’s recent build primary school had their senior class changing in make shift rooms, not even purpose built change rooms.

There are also no rights governing policy for organisations in general to provide privacy from the same sex category of people in that way. Hence there are still communal changing rooms for each sex.

It is an unreasonable expectation that policy is changed purely to suit male people who have identities that have then rejecting male single sex provisions. As they are not female people, they should not and should never have been accessing female single sex provisions.

In school, it is unreasonable to say that the solution is to have individual cubicles because all children have a right to privacy, when that ‘right to privacy’ is being misrepresented.

But how did you know they were cis men? You probably didn’t check their gender identity and they may well have been trans women still in the closet, or gender fluid men. You should try not to judge people by their appearances. Or of course they could have been trans men who pass really really really well. You have made a lot of assumptions.

As a gender critical person you would likely have to believe this.

Are you saying that teenage girls and boys have to be taught which sex people are or is it something that is innate?

Colleague/other are not family and friends. I originally specified family or friend.

If someone knows a trans person well enough to consider them a friend, or a family member. There is vastly more support for trans people. Gays and lesbians also saw this affect on support in the 80s and 90s.

I accept that some girls may grow up being taught that trans girls are predators and are men they should be afraid of and absolutely under any condition should not be acknowledged as girls. I accept other girls may grow up learning that trans girls are girls, belong and should be included as girls as they will grow up as any other girl to be women.

I accept each group of girls could be encouraged to accept their environment or fight against the status quo. I imagine that adult influence would also have a massive influence positively or negatively on how a girl would feel in such a situation.

Her feelings are very real and should be heard. Resolution, if needed would take place within the rules and culture of the school. Just as any other feelings about situations would require.
